Consumer Description

MY SON STARTED HIS FUSION AND THE POWER ASSIST FAULT LIGHT CAME ON. HE COULDN'T TURN THE STEERING WHEEL. THE CAR WAS SHUT OFF, AND WHEN I ARRIVED AND STARTED IT, IT WAS FINE AFTER BEING PUT IN REVERSE. I RESEARCHED RECALLS AND FOUND MANY ON THIS VEHICLE. AIR BAGS,LUG NUTS,POWER ASSIST TO NAME A FEW. I CALLED FORD AND THEY RAN THE VIN #, THEY SAID THE NUMBER WAS NOT COVERED. HOW CAN CERTAIN #'S BE COVERED WHEN THEY ALL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM !? I GUESS THE ONLY FIX IS TO TO HAVE PEOPLE WHO CAN'T AFFORD TO FIX IT ($2000) DRIVE UNSAFELY BECAUSE FORD WON'T ADMIT THEY ARE IN THE WRONG ! I CAN ONLY HOPE NOTHING HAPPENS WHILE HE IS DRIVING..
