Consumer Description

AFTER DRIVING APPROX 1 MILE ON SURFACE STREET LEAVING WORK, A GRINDING NOISE WAS HEARD FROM FUEL PUMP UNDER VEHICLE UNDER DRIVER LOCATION. AFTER 30 SECONDS CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND LOW FUEL PRESSURE MESSAGE APPEARED IN MESSAGE AREA. THEN REDUCED POWER APPEARED IN MESSAGE WINDOW. IT HAPPENED SO QUICKLY THAT IT LEFT ME STRANDED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET WITH TRAFFIC ON BOTH SIDES UNTIL POLICE CAME BY AND ASSISTED. THE TRUCK WAS ONLY ABLE TO IDLE FOR A MINUTE UNTIL IT DIED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET. TRUCK WAS TAKEN VIA TOW TRUCK TO LOCAL FORD DEALER. ONCE THERE DIESEL TECH CLEARED CODES AND STATED THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG.
