TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD ESCAPE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE'S GEAR SELECTOR FAILED TO DISPLAY THE CORRECT GEAR SELECTION. ALSO, THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE GEAR WAS SHIFTED INTO PARK, BUT WAS DISPLAYING DRIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DEACON JONES FORD-LINCOLN, INC. (3301 MCLAIN ST, GOLDSBORO, NC 27534, (919) 736-3387) WHERE THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 105,000.
