Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V332000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL). THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO KEN NELSON CHRYSLER CADILLAC BUICK GMC (1100 N GALENA AVE, DIXON, IL 61021, 815-288-4455) WHERE THE RECALL WAS REPAIRED. TWO MONTHS LATER, WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ACTIVATED, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED TO 85 MPH. AN ALARM WENT OFF AND THE "OVER 75 MPH" WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND DISENGAGED THE CRUISE CONTROL. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 6,900.
