Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 HYUNDAI SONATA. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, ALL THE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND THE VEHICLE LOST POWER. THE VEHICLE WAS COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE ENGINE WAS BLOWN AT LESS THEN 60,000 MILES. HYUNDAI OF BEDFORD (18300 ROCKSIDE RD, BEDFORD, OH 44146, (440) 439-0700) STATED THAT THEY WOULD COVER ONLY PART OF THE ENGINE FAILURE REPAIR COST. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THERE WAS A 100,000 MILE WARRANTY ON THE VEHICLE THAT SHOULD COVER THE ENGINE REPAIR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 58,000.
