Consumer Description

I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY TO WORK IT BECAME VERY CLEAR THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT SHIFTING PROPERLY. I COULD FEEL AND SEE THE RPMS INCREASING MUCH TOO HIGH BEFORE THE VEHICLE WOULD FINALLY SHIFT, CAUSING A SIGNIFICANT JERKING MOTION. THEN, AN ENGINE WARNING APPEARED STATING 'TRANSMISSION FAULT. SERVICE NOW'. I IMMEDIATELY PULLED OFF OF THE FREEWAY AND HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED HOME. I HAD THE VEHICLE TAKEN INTO A FORD DEALERSHIP IN ORDER FOR THEM TO DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE, WHICH THEY DID SAYING THE TRANSMISSION WAS COMPLETELY SHOT. ZERO INDICATION THERE WAS AN ISSUE BEFORE IT FAILED.
