Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD TAURUS. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, THE OIL PRESSURE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROADWAY AND CALLED A TOW TRUCK. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER (WESTWAY FORD IN IRVING, TEXAS) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE OIL PRESSURE SENDING UNIT AND PCV VALVE WERE DAMAGED AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: CAS14131690. THE FAILURE RECURRED BUT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AGAIN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 88,000.
