Consumer Description

I ENTERED THE VEHICLE AT ABOUT 10 PM ON 12/31/17 AND STARTED DRIVING HOME. IT WAS COLD SO I TURNED ON THE WINDSHIELD DEFROSTER AND THE REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER. ABOUT 5 MINUTES INTO MY TRIP I NOTICED A LIGHT ON THE DASH GO ON THEN OFF AND WAS NOT SURE WHICH ONE IT WAS THEN IT FLASHED AGAIN IT WAS THE REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER BUTTON. THE NEXT THING WE HEARD A VERY LOUD POP LIKE AND SAW THE REAR WINDOW SHATTERED. IT IS A POWER SLIDER JUST THE SECTION DIRECTLY BEHIND THE DRIVER SHATTERED. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND OUT THERE HAS BEEN NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS VERY SAME THING. NEXT I WILL BE GOING TO A LOCAL DEALER AND MAKING A COMPLAINT BECAUSE FROM WHAT I CAN SEE THERE HAS NOT BEEN ANY RECALLS ON THIS MATTER. WHAT IS IT GOING TO TAKE TO GET A RECALL ON THIS? I BELIEVE THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY SHOULD ABSORB THE COST FOR THE REPLACEMENT
