Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD ESCAPE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD JOLT FORWARD AND STALL WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE MADE AN ABNORMALLY LOUD NOISE WHEN STARTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS AN INTERNAL TRANSMISSION ISSUE, BUT THE SPECIFICS OF THE REPAIR COULD NOT BE PROVIDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
