Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE RAM 1500. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE UNTIL THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V796000 (POWER TRAIN). UPON LEAVING THE DEALER, THERE WAS A STRONG VIBRATION IN THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, THE REAR AXLE NUT SEIZED AND THE REAR AXLE ASSEMBLY CAUSED THE TWO REAR TIRES TO FLATTEN. THE VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO BE DRIVEN DUE TO THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
