Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 FORD WINDSTAR. WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD POP AS IF TWO TIN CANS WERE UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT IMMEDIATELY PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE CONTACT LOOKED UNDER THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED THAT THE REAR AXLE WAS CORRODED AND FRACTURED IN HALF. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 170,000.
