Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD ESCAPE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT BOTH THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLES FAILED TO LATCH SECURELY UNTIL ACCESSING THE RESET BUTTON LOCATED INSIDE THE DOOR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE BOTH FRONT DOOR HANDLES WERE REPLACED FOR THE SECOND TIME. IN ADDITION, THE EXTERIOR REAR DRIVER SIDE DOOR HANDLE WAS REPLACED ONE TIME. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 28. UPDATED 04/22/2016*LJ *TR
