Consumer Description

MY CAR HAS A STRONG GASOLINE ODOR. THE DEALERSHIP SAID THE FUEL TANK IS LEAKING AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THEY HAVE DENIED WARRANTY COVERAGE ON A LEAKING FUEL TANK. PLEASE REFERENCE NHTSA # EA13003. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN ACKNOWLEDGED AND A WARRANTY PROGRAM PUT IN PLACE BY MERCEDES BENZ TO AVOID A RECALL. NOW, THEY ARE DENYING WARRANTY COVERAGE. CAN YOUR INVESTIGATIVE TEAM OPEN THIS CASE UP AND HELP US- CONSUMERS. ON THE SURFACE, THIS APPEARS TO BE AN ETHICAL PROBLEM FOR MERCEDES BENZ. REPAIR COST $976.00 FOR A NEW FUEL TANK. PLEASE HELP.
