Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 DODGE RAM 3500. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS UNDERGOING ROUTINE MAINTENANCE, THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DISCOVERED A FUEL LEAK COMING FROM THE FUEL HEATER CAUSED BY THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS OVERHEATING. THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE REPAIRED BECAUSE THE PARTS WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE RECALL NOTICE FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V635000 WAS RECEIVED IN NOVEMBER OF 2014. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
