Consumer Description

DRIVER DOOR OPEN SENSOR WENT OFF CAUSING INTERIOR LIGHTS TO COME ON AND ALARM START GOING OFF. THIS WAS AT 8:30 PM ON A RURAL ROAD. I LOST MY NIGHT VISION AND SWERVED OFF THE SIDE OF THE ROAD CAUSING MY 11 YEAR OLD TO STRIKE HER HEAD ON THE SIDE WINDOW OF THE VEHICLE AND DAMAGE TO THE FRONT SPOILER. THIS SENSOR HAS BEEN REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY AND TSB WAS ISSUED BY FORD 6 MONTHS AGO. THE POLICE OFFICER THAT CAME SAID HIS BROTHER HAS A FORD F-150 THAT THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO HIM AND HE TOTALED HIS TRUCK AT NIGHT. AFTER DOING AN INTERNET SEARCH FOR FORD DRIVER DOOR OPEN WHILE DRIVING AND FOUND NUMEROUS WEBSITES DEDICATED TO THE PROBLEM AND IMMENSE NUMBER OF ACCIDENTS. HOW LONG CAN FORD GET AWAY WITH THIS SAFETY ISSUE BEFORE SOMEONE DIES IF THEY HAVEN'T ALREADY? *TR
