Consumer Description

THE ALERT FOR 'DRIVER DOOR AJAR' COMES ON AND WILL NOT TURN OFF, REGARDLESS OF HOW MANY TIMES AND/OR HOW HARD/SOFT THE DOOR IS CLOSED. THIS CAUSES THE INTERIOR LIGHTS TO STAY ON AFTER THE CAR IS TURNED OFF. I AM NOW DRIVING AROUND, IGNORING THE ALERT, WHICH IS DANGEROUS BECAUSE I COULD POTENTIALLY BE DRIVING WITH A DOOR THAT IS NOT LATCHED PROPERLY, WHICH COULD RESULT IN A SERIOUS INJURY. THANK GOD IT IS NOT THE DOOR THAT MY SON USES. I AM HEARING FROM EVERY FORD OWNER I'VE SPOKEN TO AND ALL OVER THE INTERNET THAT THIS SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM IN THE MAJORITY OF FORDS, SO I THINK SOMEONE NEEDS TO LOOK INTO A RECALL ON THIS.
