The contact owns a 2023 Vinfast VF8. The contact stated that while his wife was driving 30 MPH, the vehicle inadvertently lost motive power and came to a complete stop in the middle of the roadway, where the vehicle failed to restart. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and the vehicle was repaired but the contact was not provided a diagnostic report nor the repair information. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was unknown.
First time was end of May and the car went into park while driving down the road and stayed stuck in park. Could not change gears. Eventually the entire car shut down and even hazard lights did not work. Second time I was parked at my office and when I got back to my car, it again would not shift out of park. It would not move into any gear.
