2023 VINFAST VF 8 Air Bags Problems

The contact owned a 2023 Vinfast VF8. The contact stated that while driving at 35 MPH, another vehicle driving on the opposite side of the road aggressively proceeded into the front passenger side, causing a t t-boned collision. The impact caused the other vehicle to be pushed back to the opposite side of the road. The contact's vehicle then veered to the right and crashed into two more vehicles that were parked. The vehicle then came to a stop after the crash. No warning lights illuminated. The driver’s and passenger’s side air bags did not deploy. There was no property damage. A police report was filed. The contact sustained injuries to his hand, neck, and back, and his 2 children sustained general body pain. The contact and his children were still visiting the doctor for treatment. Vehicle drive system fault: This issue has happened to me 2x in my personal car and 1x in the loaner vehicle that Vinfast gave me. When this happens, the vehicle shuts off. You can’t put the car in drive or reverse. You have to leave the car, wherever it is, walk a good distance away& wait for about 15mins. The first time, I was pulling into a spot at a grocery store & and car died in the middle of the aisle. I was blocking all traffic. Luckily after 4 mins the car was able to go into N and I got pushed into a parking spot. The second time was with the loaner car, I started to back up and the car died. This time, I had to walk in the rain to a store down the street and wait for the car to “disconnect from the key fob”...
