Defect: SOUTHEAST TOYOTA IS RECALLING 1,555 MY 2007 TUNDRA VEHICLES DUE TO A WHEEL NUT ISSUE. THE RECALLED VEHICLES ARE MY 2007 TUNDRAS EQUIPPED WITH 18" INSTALLED DIAMOND FINISH 5-SPOKE ALLOY WHEELS (OPTION CODE WN1 OR WN4) OR 20" INSTALLED PAINTED ALLOY WHEELS WITH 6 DUAL SPOKES (OPTION CODE WV1 OR WV4). AFFECTED VEHICLES WERE ORIGINALLY SOLD IN FLORIDA, GEORGIA, ALABAMA,...

Consequence: IF A VEHICLE'S WHEEL HAS A CRACKED OR BROKEN WHEEL NUT CONDITION AND THE WHEEL BECOMES LOOSE AND FALLS OFF THE VEHICLE WITHOUT WARNING, A CRASH COULD OCCUR.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE ATTACHING WHEEL NUTS. THE RECALL BEGAN ON APRIL 18, 2008. OWNERS MAY CONTACT SOUTHEAST TOYOTA AT 1-800-301-6859.

Recall 07V579000 — POWER TRAIN:DRIVELINE:DRIVESHAFT

Defect: ON CERTAIN 4-WHEEL DRIVE PICKUP TRUCKS, DUE TO THE IMPROPER HEAT TREATMENT OF THE SLIP YOKES THAT HAD BEEN REWORKED DURING THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS, THE HARDNESS OF THE SLIP YOKE MAY BE INSUFFICIENT.

Consequence: IN THIS CONDITION, THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT THE YOKE MAY BREAK CAUSING THE PROPELLER SHAFT TO SEPARATE AT THE JOINT AND COME INTO CONTACT WITH THE ROAD SURFACE OR THE FUEL TANK WHICH COULD RESULT IN A LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL OR A FUEL LEAK.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE SLIP YOKE AND REPLACE THE PROPELLER SHAFT IF NECESSARY FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON JANUARY 7, 2008. OWNERS MAY CONTACT TOYOTA AT 1-800-331-4331.

Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2007 Toyota Tundra. The contact discovered a mileage discrepancy after the purchase. The vehicle was a private sale. At the time of purchase, the mileage was approximately 145,000. The contact attempted to resell the vehicle; and it was discovered through a Carfax Report that the mileage on the Title was approximately 330,000 in 2018.

Gulf States Toyota issued a recall (GST002) for the Enkei 18” wheels installed on my 2007 tundra. Toyota Vandergriff in Arlington has attempted to contact Gulf States Toyota multiple times since 8/21/25 but no reply has been provided. Currently, the wheels need to be replaced under the recall but Gulf States Toyota has made no effort to rectify the situation.

The contact owns a 2007 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated while parking the vehicle, there was a loud sound coming from the vehicle. The contact inspected the vehicle and determined that the fuel tank scrap and bolt had fractured and detached. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. In addition, the contact stated that when the vehicle was purchased in May 2024, the contact later noticed flaking material on the ground underneath the vehicle. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer, but no assistance was provided. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. In addition, the contact confirmed that in March 2019, the vehicle was serviced under an unknown corrosion prevention recall repair. The contact confirmed that at the time, the dealer performed the recall repair by spraying anti-corrosion prevention on the suspension. The unknown recall repair was warranted for 60 months. The failure mileage was approximately 279,000.
