FAILURE # 1 ONE OF THE STEEL RIMS ON MY RAV 4 DEVELOPED A CRACK CAUSING A SUDDEN LOSS OF PRESSURE. I HAD THE RIM REPLACED WITH A NEW ONE. SINCE THEN I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE 2 ADDITIONAL RIMS WITH THE SAME (BROKEN WELD) SYMPTOMS, ONE WITH A BREAK OVER 21" LONG. TOYOTA HAS FAILED TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE OF UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES. FAILURE # 2 THE AIR BAG SENSING LIGHT CAME ON IN MY RAV 4 SO I HAD IT CHECKED OUT AT MY LOCAL DEALER. I WAS TOLD NOT TO WORRY ABOUT IT. I'M AN EMT AND I HAVE A TENDENCY TO WORRY ABOUT "LIFE SAFETY" ISSUES. I TOOK IT TO ANOTHER DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE MIGHT BE UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES AND THAT I SHOULD HAVE IT FIXED. IT TURNED OUT THE "SPIRAL CABLE" IN THE STEERING COLUMN WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. IT'S IMPORTANT...
