Defect: Southeast Toyota Distributors, LLC (SET) is recalling certain 2017-2019 Toyota Camry, Corolla, Rav4, Sienna, and Yaris iA vehicles equipped with factory-installed floor mats. The load carrying capacity modification label may be incorrect. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."
Consequence: An incorrect label may lead to unintentionally overloading the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: SET will notify owners and provide a corrected label for placement over the inaccurate label, free of charge. The recall began August 23, 2019. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-888-270-9371. SET's number for this recall is SET19A.

Defect: Gulf States Toyota, Inc. (Gulf States) is recalling certain 2017 4Runner , 86, Avalon, Camry, Camry Hybrid, Corolla, Corolla iM, Highlander, Highlander Hybrid, Prius, Prius C, RAV4, RAV4 Hybrid, Sienna and Yaris vehicles. The spare tire air pressure was not adjusted to the proper pressure as stated on the Tire Pressure Label.
Consequence: A spare tire that is not inflated to the proper value may not perform as intended, increasing the risk of a crash.

Defect: Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain model year 2016 Avalon, and 2017 Camry vehicles manufactured August 3, 2016, to September 12, 2016. The front passenger knee air bag module may have been attached to the lower instrument panel with incorrect fasteners.
Consequence: If the air bag was installed with incorrect fasteners, the fasteners may become loose over time, affecting the air bag deployment and increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the fasteners, and if necessary, replace the instrument panel brace and body bracket and reattach the air bag assembly, free of charge. The recall began on February 8, 2017. Owners may contact...

Four (4) General Tire Reliatrek P205/65R16 95H were purchased on August 6, 2024 at Toyota Greenville located in Greenville, South Carolina, with mileage on my car at 138,174. At my last service in late December 2025, with 175, 777 miles on my car, i was told by Toyota Greenville that two of them needed replaced, with the others marginal. It was recommended by Toyota to have all four replaced. The promised warranty of these tires was 65,000 miles. I only put 37,603 miles on these tires, indicating severe premature wear and manufacturer defect. The tire manufacturer was contacted by Toyota about this safety concern, but little to no compensation was offered. The tires have been serviced at Toyota Greenville, and records can be provided (including photos) since time of purchase.
Catastrophic engine failure due to piston pin bushings/connecting rod bushing failing. The engine was removed, disassembled, and inspected by an automotive machinist. There were no warning lamps or messages, only a knocking sound. The Toyota dealership said there was severe knocking from lower engine, and their remedy was a new engine.
The contact owns a 2017 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was an abnormal sound coming from the engine compartment. After a visual inspection, the contact observed that the oil level was abnormally low despite the vehicle being serviced within 2,000 miles. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and an oil consumption test was performed, and was still ongoing. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 200,000.
I have under 30,800 miles. On 02/25/2025 my car was completely dead. I called Andy Mohr Toyota. I had my car towed in . They said I needed a new battery. Okay I paid got my car back. On 10/16/25 car is completely dead again. I called roadside assistance. My new battery won’t hold a charge. The starter is working and alternator is connected. Inside looks brand new.
Odometer Fraud. The contact owns a 2017 Toyota Camry. The contact purchased the vehicle from a private seller. The contact stated that the selling advertisement reported the odometer reading was 96,187. The contact stated that while registering the vehicle with the local Department of Motor Vehicle, the contact was informed that the previous odometer reading was reported at 290,000. The contact then obtained the Carfax report which confirmed that the last odometer reading was 290,000. The seller was contacted and made aware of the discrepancy.
