2017 TOYOTA CAMRY Seats Problems

While driving home from work I suddenly noticed green smoke billowing from under my passenger seat. I immediately pulled over rolled my windows down I removed my back pack from the seat that was smoldering on top of the seat . There was absolutely nothing combustible in my back pack I removed my back back from the vehicle. The extinguished itself some how. I began coughing and choking due to the toxic smoke. Once I felt that the fire in the passenger seat was no longer a threat to my life. I begrudgingly continued my drive home which was an additional 15 Miles home. I WAS TRAVELING AT AN ESTIMATED SPEED OF 20MPH AND WITH THE FRONT OF MY CAMRY, STRUCK THE BACK OF A NON TRAILERED SEMI TRUCK AND MY AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AND MY DRIVERS SEAT BROKE CAUSING ME TO GET SLAMMED INTO THE SEAT BELT WHICH RESULTED IN BACK, NECK, SHOULDER AND KNEE INJURIES.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 TOYOTA CAMRY. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE FRONT DRIVER'S SEAT MOVED UP AND DOWN. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, THE SEAT MOVED TO THE STEERING AND THE BACK OF THE SEAT RECLINED TO THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (SILSBEE TOYOTA IN SILSBEE, TX), BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT NOTHING COULD BE DONE WITHOUT DUPLICATING THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 700.
