THE FAILURE WAS WITH THE TORQUE CONVERTER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TORQUE CONVERTER WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED. THE WARRANTY REPAIR WAS GOOD FOR 8 YEARS OR 160,000 MILES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.

THE MANUFACTURER SENT A LETTER STATING THAT THEY WOULD NOT COVER THE EXPENSES SINCE THE WARRANTY WAS EXPIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 131,790.
