3rd attempt to Nissan . I have a 2008 Nissan rogue with recalls that have not been repaired. Plate is [XXX]. This has caused the recall issue of the transmission to fail. The car runs but is not safe. The contact owns a 2008 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving 55 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power and stalled. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to restart the vehicle after several attempts. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle was making abnormal whining sounds while driving. The contact stated that the failure had been reoccurring while driving and the vehicle would occasionally restart after 20 minutes. The dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 165,651.
Sudden loss of power after driving on highway for a few hours. Car does not go above 2500 RPM or 50MPH. Shutting car off for a few minutes fixes the problem until it happens again a few hours pater.
Transmission is failing, torque converter problem code p0744, torque converter locks and car won’t make it uphill

MY CAR WILL START, SLOWING DOWN WHILE I AM DRIVING. I CALLED NISSAN ON SEVERAL THINGS CONCERNING THIS CAR. NISSAN HAS NOT HAD A RECALL ON THEIR 2008-2010 ROGUE YET. 2008 IS THE 1ST GENERATION OF THIS VEHICLE. I HAVE HAD ENGINE CRADLE PROBLEMS, CONTROL ARM PROBLEMS. THESE CAR MAKERS NEED TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR PRODUCT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THE VEHICLE DECELERATED TO 40 MPH AND FAILED TO ACCELERATE WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE HORN SEIZED, AND THE AIR BAG, EVAP, AND CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DESTINATION NISSAN (770 CENTRAL AVE, ALBANY, NY 12206, 518-438-8461), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES AND DENIED THE CLAIM FOR THE TRANSMISSION. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 125,000.
TAKATA RECALL, THE NISSAN I PURCHASED FROM FUCCILLO NISSAN IN LATHAM, NEW YORK, WAS DEFECTIVE WITH EVERY ISSUE, HOWEVER NISSAN REFUSE TO HONOR ANY RECALLS. WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS THE CAR WILL JUST STOP GOING. THE CAR WILL STILL RUN JUST WILL NOT MOVE NO MATTER HOW FAR YOU PUSH ON THE GAS PEDAL. IT WILL EVENTUALLY KICK BACK IN AND WORK. I DISCOVERED RECALL R1421 A FEW WEEKS AFTER THIS VEHICLES ENGINE CAUGHT ON FIRE. THE ENTIRE CAR WAS DESTROYED BY THE ENGINE FIRE. I WAS DRIVING ON I-5 FROM LOS ANGELES TRAVELING ABOUT 65MPH. I HAD BEEN DRIVING FOR ABOUT 55MIN WHEN MY VEHICLE RPM'S STARTED TO INCREASE AND MY MPH'S STARTED TO DECREASE. FOR THE PAST FEW WEEKS, MY GAS GAUGE HAS BEEN READING INCORRECTLY AND WHEN I WOULD GO TO FILL OUT THE VEHICLE, IT WOULD NEVER SHOW COMPLETELY FULL. I FIRST EXPERIENCED A LOSS OF POWER IN MY VEHICLE WHILE STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT. THE TRANSMISSION DIED ON MY 2008 NISSAN ROGUE. AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE IN JUNE 2008, WE HEARD "WHIRING" NOISES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP OF PURCHASE AND WE HAVE THE NOTATION THAT CUSTOMER COMPLAINED OF WHIRING. RESULT WAS THERE WERE NO ISSUES. NISSAN ROGUE 2008 WOULD NOT ACCELERATE WHILE DRIVING ON FREEWAY INCLINE. VEHICLE TOPPED OUT AT 45 MPH IN 65 ZONE. UNABLE TO ACCELERATE, VEHICLES HONKED AND PASSED BY. THIS CONTINUED UNTIL TOP OF INCLINE, THEN VEHICLE RESUMED ACCELERATION. TOOK TO LOCAL NISSAN DEALERSHIP TO LEARN THAT NISSAN OFFERS EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR CVT TRANSMISSION AND THAT THIS ISSUE QUALIFIED FOR THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. DEALER ORDERED TRANSMISSION COOLER KIT ON 3/3/2014. DEALER HAS SINCE INFORMED ME THAT PART REQUEST IS RESTRICTED AND CAN GIVE NO TIMEFRAME OF REPLACEMENT. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR 2 WEEKS ( NOW 3/19). NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS ALSO UNABLE TO EXPEDITE PART. PLEASE HELP US HAVE NISSAN DO A RECALL ON THE ENGINE. I HAVE HAD MY NISSAN ROUGE FOR ABOUT 4 YEARS. I WAS DRIVING MY CAR FROM SAN FRANCISCO TO LOS ANGELES. THIS IS ONE OF SEVERAL SIMILAR INCIDENTS. I WAS ON A ROAD TRIP TO NYC, DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ON AT 73 MPH. IN ALL INCIDENTS, I NOTICED THAT AFTER HAVING THE CRUISE ON FOR OVER AN HOUR, ALL OF A SUDDEN THE CRUISE WOULD JUST "KICK OFF". IT WOULD STOP WORKING. AND MY CAR WOULD START TO DECELERATE.
