All Forward Collision Avoidance Automatic Emergency Braking Complaints
The front radar obstruction light on my 1025 Nissan Murano has occasionally come off and on in bad weather (to be expected) and under normal driving conditions. I have had to have it are-aligned previously. Recently however, the light started coming on and off when I was stopped or in park. It would clear when I started driving. Eventually it would start coming on and stay on for very long stretches of time. I brought the car in to be looked at and was told I needed a new sensor for approximately $1500. I got no other explanation. I have seen hundreds, if not thousands of complaints about these sensors going bad. I even found a recall campaign (NTB19-033/A) for the exact problem. I was told this is a service campaign and it seemed as if it was at the dealerships discretion to follow the campaign. I am not sure...
