Not sure when it started bc I just purchased this vehicle a month ago. While driving one evening the head lights went off and I had to turn them off and back on. Now a few weeks later and after I've changed the bulbs and made sure the fuse wasn't blown it is doing it ALOT. I'm not sure if it is a wiring problem or if it is in the on and off switch.
While driving the vehicle will suddenly stop moving, loses acceleration ability & all the dashboard lights turn on. I had work done back in Feb 22 replacing cam shaft sensors. Now Dec 22 the same thing began happening again.
I AM DRIVING MY CAR AND THE BRAKE LIGHT CAME ON BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON AND THEN I LOST POWER AND IT WILL CHARGE THE BATTERY TO BATTERY TIP ACTING LIKE HE WAS DEAD AND I PUT A BRAND NEW BATTERY IN AND IT STILL DID THE SAME THING AND IT WASN'T GIVING THE BATTERY ANY CHARGE I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO DRY MY CAR I GOT IT STUCK ON THE HIGHWAY IT IS WAS IN M MOTION

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE EMERGENCY BRAKE AND CHARGE WARNING INDICATORS WERE ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO PARK THE VEHICLE AT A NEARBY PARKING LOT. THE CONTACT REPLACED THE BATTERY AND DROVE HOME; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE CONTINUED SHORTLY AFTER REPLACING THE BATTERY. THE CONTACT ASSOCIATED THE FAILURE WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 05V319000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE ALTERNATOR VOLTAGE WAS LOW. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,000.
BATTERY AND BRAKE LIGHT CAME ON AT THE SAME TIME WHILE DRIVING DOWN A MAIN STREET, LIGHT WILL TURN ON AND OFF. AFTER DRIVING FOR AROUND AN HOUR CAR TAKES AROUND 30 SECONDS TO ACTUALLY GO WHEN PRESSING ON GAS.
MY BATTERY WON'T CHARGE EVEN WITH BRAND NEW ALTERNATOR.NISSAN HAD A CAMPAIGN BUT CLAIMS MY VEHICLE WASN'T AFFECTED BY IT. CAMPAIGN #05V319000
WHILE DRIVING ON THE STREET OR HIGHWAY ABS LIGHT COMES ON THEN VEHICLE STALLS AND ROLLS AT ABOUT 2 MPH AND THE CAR DOESN'T RESPOND WHEN I PRESS THE GAS PEDAL. USUALLY THE ABS LIGHT TURNS OFF THEN I CAN DRIVE NORMALLY. THE LAST TIME THIS HAPPENED THE CAR TURNED OFF I HAD TO PUSH IT OUT OF THE STREET AND IT WOULDN'T START UP FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS, THEN THE ABS LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN AND THEN IT STALLS WITH NO RESPONSE WHEN PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL. THIS HAS HAPPENED OVER 10 TIMES EVEN AFTER REPLACING THE BRAKES AND CHECKING ALL THE SENSORS, CHECKING THE BATTERY AND ALL OF THE CONNECTIONS AND FLUIDS.
TAKARA RECALL : WHILE THE CAR IS IN MOTION THE ENGINE WILL SHUT OFF AT RANDOM. WHEN THE ENGINE SHUTS OFF THE CAR IS PULLED ALONG THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, AND WILL START AGAIN. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON MULTIPLE, ALMOST CAUSING SERIOUS CRASHES.

VEHICLE SHUT-OFF WITHOUT WARNING WHILE DRIVING ON THE ROADS AND FREEWAY. HAD TO IMMEDIATELY PUT NEUTRAL RESTART ENGINE SEVERAL TIMES. TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP IN BELLEVUE NE AND THEY ONLY REPLACED THE DUCT VENT TUBE FROM THE AIR FILTER. I HAD MENTIONED THAT IT HAS A CODE ON ODB2 SCANNER CAM SENSOR AND THEY DON'T HAVE A RECALL FOR IT. PLEASE NEED A SAFE CAR FOR ME AND MY FAMILY.

I'M UNABLE TO LOCK/UNLOCK ANY DOORS USING THE LOCK/UNLOCK BUTTONS IN THE CAR. THEY ONLY LOCK/UNLOCK MANUALLY. THE KEY MANUALLY LOCKS/UNLOCKS THE DRIVER DOOR ONLY. FOB DOESN'T WORK FOR ANY LOCKS, AND IT'S A NEW ONE.

THE PROBLEM WITH MY CAR WAS THE INVOLUNTARY LOCKING OF ALL DOORS WITHOUT MY INVOLVEMENT WHENEVER I PARKED THE CAR SOMEWHERE. THIS PROVED VERY INCONVENIENT AT TIMES WHEN I DIDN'T HAVE MY CAR KEYS WITH ME. THE DEALER KEPT THE CAR FOR A FEW DAYS ONLY TO TELL ME THEY COULD NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. THEY DIDN'T EVEN OFFER TO CONTACT NISSAN WITH THE PROBLEM.
MY DRIVER SIDE REAR DOOR BEGAN MALFUNCTIONING WHEN USING THE REMOTE AND BUTTON DOOR LOCK CONTROLS. ALL DOORS WOULD LOCK BUT THE DRIVER SIDE REAR DOOR WOULD REMAIN UNLOCKED. WE HAVE A 2005 NISSAN MURANO THAT HAS HAD THE DOOR LOCK ACTUATORS FAIL REPEATEDLY SINCE WE'VE OWNED THE CAR. WHEN THE LOCKS FAIL, THE DOORS AND REAR HATCH CAN NOT BE OPENED OR LOCKED WITH EITHER THE REMOTE FOB OR THE ELECTRIC CONTROLS ON THE DOORS. THEY NEED TO BE OPENED MANUALLY BY RELEASING THE LOCKING LEVER BY HAND. OFTEN WHEN THEY FAIL THE REAR HATCH CAN NOT BE OPENED BECAUSE THERE IS NOT A MANUAL RELEASE THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THIS STYLE OF DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR. NISSAN IS AWARE OF THIS ISSUE AND HAS DEEMED THE REPAIR OUT OF WARRANTY EVEN THOUGH THIS PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED WHILE UNDER WARRANTY AND EVER SINCE. THE INDIVIDUAL ACTUATOR FOR EACH DOOR APPROACHES $500 IN COST. THEY'VE ADVISED TO NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM, BUY A NEW VEHICLE WHICH IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. THERE ARE NUMEROUS INSTANCES OF...
PASSENGER DOOR, PASSENGER-SIDE REAR DOOR, DRIVER-SIDE REAR DOOR AND TRUNK DOOR WILL NOT UNLOCK WHILE PRESSING THE KEY FOB TWICE. MANUALLY UNLOCKING THE DOORS BY USING THE KEYHOLE ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE DRIVER DOOR DOES NOT SOLVE THE ABOVE PROBLEM. MANUALLY UNLOCKING THE DOORS BY USING THE DRIVER / PASSENGER SIDE UNLOCK BUTTON ON THE ARMREST DOES NOT SOLVE THE ABOVE PROBLEM. TRUNK DOOR CANNOT BE OPENED WITH ANY OF THE ABOVE MEANS DUE TO ABSENCE OF MANUAL LOCK/UNLOCK LEVER ON THE EXTERIOR OF THE DOOR. *JS
DOOR LOCKS STARTING WITH DRIVERS SIDE PASSENGER AND NOW THE DRIVER DOOR WILL NOT LOCK OR UNLOCK UNLESS MANUALLY CHANGED WITH LEVER OR KEY. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE AND SHOULD BE ADDRESSED PASSENGER DOORS ARE RANDOM HOWEVER ARE STARTING TO SHOW SIMILAR SIGNS THANKS IN ADVANCE. *JS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 NISSAN MURANO. WHILE COMING TO A STOP AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS REPEATEDLY DEPRESSED. THE VEHICLE FAILED TO DECELERATE AND CRASHED INTO A BRICK BUILDING. THE FRONT PASSENGER SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE CHEST AND BOTH KNEES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A MECHANIC AND FOR SEVERE FRONT END DAMAGE. THE BUILDING WAS ALSO DAMAGED. PRIOR TO THE CRASH, THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE WINDOWS ALONG WITH ALL FOUR POWER DOOR LOCKS ACTIVATED INDEPENDENTLY WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED. THE VEHICLE WAS BEING REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 76,000.
NISSAN MURANO DOOR ACTUATORS HAVE FAILED ON 2 OF 4 DOORS, LEAVING ME UNABLE TO ENTER/EXIT MY VEHICLE WITH THE REMOTE. IN ADDITION, I CANNOT OPEN THE TRUNK OF THE VEHICLE UNLESS THE PASSENGER DOOR ACTUATOR IS WORKING, WHICH IT DOES NOT. THE INSIDE DOOR LOCKS DO NOT MOVE, SO I DO NOT KNOW IF MY CAR IS EVER LOCKED OR UNLOCKED, AGAIN, SAFETY CONCERN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A PRIVATE MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS FOUND THAT THE ALTERNATOR WIRES HAD FAILED AND THE BATTERY WAS UNABLE TO BE CHARGED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED ABOUT THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE MANUFACTURER'S RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 121,923.
THE INTELLIGENT KEY SYSTEM AND THE KEY FOB DO NOT UNLOCK THE DOORS CONSISTENTLY. THEY DO NOT UNLOCK THE DRIVER OR FRONT PASSENGER DOORS AT ALL, AND FROM TIME TO TIME WILL UNLOCK THE REAR DOORS. WE HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING THIS FOR OVER A YEAR. *TR
FIRST MY DRIVER DOOR LOCK WOULD WORK AND THEN IT WOULDN'T. NEXT THE SAME THING HAPPENED WITH THE LIFT GATE LOCK AND NOW IT DOESN'T WORK AT ALL SO I HAD A REPAIR SHOP REPLACE THE HATCH LOCK AND IT STILL DOESN'T WORK. *TR
DOOR LOCK ACTUATORS BEGAN TO FAIL IN OUR 2005 NISSAN MURANO. THEY STOPPED RESPONDING SUDDENLY AND WHEN WE THOUGHT THE CAR WAS LOCKED, IT WAS IN FACT OPENED, WHICH IS A SAFETY ISSUE. IT IS A VERY COMMON ISSUE AND USUALLY ALL ACTUATOR GO OUT AT THE SAME TIME. WE HAVE REPLACED DRIVER'S DOOR ACTUATOR (THAT COST US $400) AND NOW HAVE TO DEAL WITH OTHER 3. HOPEFULLY NISSAN WILL RECOGNIZE THIS AS A SERIOUS PROBLEM AND WILL ISSUE A RECALL. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 NISSAN MURANO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE FAILURE RECURRED NUMEROUS TIMES WHILE THE CONTACT WAS IN TRAFFIC. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE MECHANIC WHERE A DIAGNOSTIC WAS PERFORMED, WHICH LOCATED THE FAILURE AT THE ALTERNATOR. THE FAILURE ALTERNATOR WAS REPLACED THREE TIMES BUT THE FAILURE WAS NOT CORRECTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND ADVISED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 05V319000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 101,239 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 120,151.
ALL PASSENGER DOORS DO NOT LOCK/UNLOCK EITHER USING THE FOB OR THE DRIVER POWER LOCK CONTROLLER, THE HATCH IS NOW LOCKING INTERMITTENTLY. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY/SECURITY ISSUE ESPECIALLY NOW THAT THE HATCH IS HAVING PROBLEMS. THIS ISSUE STARTED IN 2011, WHICH I HAD THE DRIVERS DOOR FIXED, THEN STARTING IN 2012 THE PASSENGER DOORS STARTED HAVING ISSUES, NOW IN 2013 THE REMAINING PASSENGER DOOR AND HATCHBACK!! THERE IS OBVIOUSLY A PROBLEM WHICH MUST BE ADDRESSED!
THE FRONT PASSENGER LOCK WOULD NOT OPEN USING THE KEY FOB OR THE INTERIOR LOCK BUTTONS. THE REAR HATCH WILL NOT OPEN UNLESS THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR IS UNLOCK. RECENTLY ( SPRING OF 2013, 129K MILES), THE DRIVER AND REAR PASSENGER SIDE LOCKS WOULD NOT OPERATE UNLESS MANUALLY UNLOCKED, AT FIRST INTERMITTENTLY AND ULTIMATELY STOPPED WORKING COMPLETELY. *TR
MY VEHICLE CAUGHT FIRE AS I PROCEEDED TO PULL AWAY FROM A CURBSIDE PARKING SPACE. I TURNED MY WHEEL TO THE FAR LEFT AS I PROCEEDED AWAY FROM THE CURB AND THAT IS WHEN I HEARD A POP SOUND, SAW WHITE SMOKE SPEWING FROM THE FRONT RIGHT SIDE OF THE VEHICLE, THEN I SAW THE FLAMES.
