2023 LEXUS RX Unknown Or Other Problems

While driving westbound on Route 70 in Ohio at highway speed, we suddenly heard what sounded like an explosion and immediately felt exposure to outside air within the vehicle. The event was abrupt and very startling while in motion. After safely stopping and inspecting the vehicle, we observed that the driver-side rear door window had shattered. The damage included a pronounced irregular opening located approximately in the middle of the window toward the rear edge, with complete fragmentation of the surrounding tempered glass. We inspected the interior of the vehicle and surrounding area for evidence of a rock, debris, or other projectile but did not locate any object that could have caused the damage. This unexpected window failure created driver distraction, potential risk of injury from glass fragments, and sudden loss of window integrity while driving at highway speed. When using android auto and I get a phone call the car screen will not return back to it's original screen. If I use apple car play it's just fine and it works like it should and the screen returns to it's original screen. I had the same issue with my 2022 Yukon when I purchased it. General motors later came out with two software updates and after the last update the issue was resolved. I filed a complaint with lexus three different times and they refuse to correct the problem. The safety issue I have is after the phone call I have to keep punching the screen to get it back. I should be watching the road rather than looking and punching the screen. While we were driving, our sunroof just exploded! There was no-one around us. There was a loud bang, glass was flying and the wind was so loud we couldn't hear each other. If my wife would have been driving, we probably would have wrecked because she screamed and through her arms in the air. We exited off the road, inspected our vehicle and took pictures. The only damage we could see was the front section of our sunroof was shattered. We drove to the nearest dealership where they took pictures and ordered a new sunroof. I might add they couldn't guarantee the replacement would be under warranty, which I find shocking. My wife and I are on vacation and we had to leave our car in another state along the way and rent a car.

Spontaneous sunroof glass burst

Unintended acceleration. After complete stop at signal light behind another car electric motor was keep pushing car forward with feet on break and no feet on accelerator. Car was at complete stop and then after complete stop car started moving so press breaks more harder and car started moving up and down due to electric power pushing car forward and break system trying to stop car. The sunroof of my 2023 Lexus SUV had a defect and shattered/exploded outwards due to a defect in the tempered glass while driving on the highway. The glass shards fell from the sunroof and cut my face while driving. I had to have a nurse remove the glass shards from my face. Fortunately in this scenario, it did not cause me to lose control of my vehicle on a congested highway. The sunroof defects with Toyota and Lexus vehicles have been documented by several customers online and through several class action lawsuits. The vehicle has been sent to a local Toyota/Lexus dealership for inspection and repair. There were no warnings, messages or other symptoms that the sunroof shattering/exploding could happen.

We were driving down the expressway when our panoramic window exploded. There was no one around us, therefore it was not a rock that hit us. Thankfully, we had had the window tinted, therefore the glass didn't shatter around us. We took the car into the service department, and the service man said that it was a rock, but it was not a rock.

I bought vehicle on May 31, 2023. In October 2023, while I was driving, a warning came on saying system malfunction, to visit dealer. I left my car with Lexus Dealer on Friday, I didn't get my car back until the following Tuesday. Then it happened again on 11/28/23 again the warning light came back on indicating system malfunction, visit dealer, and received the car back on 12/4/23. My vehicle is only 4174 miles.

I recently purchased this vehicle new from Spokane Lexus. Come to find out there are no provisions for a tow hook front or rear. In the owners manual it clearly shows that there is a cover plate in the front grille that is removed to accomodate the eyebolt that is stored in the tool kit next to the spare tire. My vehicle does not have either of these, even though there is a molded place, next to the spare tire, to accomodate the eyebolt. So there no provisions for a tow truck to winch this vehicle onto a flat bed tow truck, if the vehicle does not move under it's own power. This vehicle was built in Canada for the US market. On Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023, while driving on the highway, my sunroof exploded. It sounded like a gun shot. I drove it to the place I bought my Lexus, in March, called Sewell Lexus Dallas. They gave me a rental and said they would have their technicians look at it. They called me on Monday and said their technicians decide it wasn't a manufacture defect, but they couldn't tell me of any evidence to why or what might have caused it. Furthermore, they suggested I report it to my insurance, and it would cost $4000.00 to replace. This is dangerous, to have a sunroof explode on the highway, it could have caused an accident. Lexus is not taking any ownership, it is a Lexus problem because it is a manufacturer problem.

Sunroof Window cracked exploded while driving. There was nothing seen that hit it. Dealership and everybody found no sign of what caused it.

on July 18 2023 I was sitting in my car with airconditioner on around 11.20 am in sunlake arizona suddenly i heard a big bang sound, really scared and went out checked everywhere not find anything, after sometime we drive from there to home rear passenger told some abnormal sound and something is wrong, sudden i pull over the car in a safe place check everything find out that the New RX 350 F sports rear Panoramic moon roof was completly shatterd, and the debris are falling down. how the roof glass break such a way, its so annoying and un imaginable. its a very saftey risk for the rear seat passengers exspecially for kids. why such a reputed company make such a delicate item for the outer side of the car body , please look in to the matter and take appropriate action to avoid any injuries to lexus...
