THE SIDE VISIBILITY ON MY 2007 HONDA CRV IS DANGEROUS. I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM LIKE THIS WITH ANY OF THE NUMEROUS VEHICLES I HAVE OWNED. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES AT A VARIETY OF SPEEDS. REGARDLESS OF HOW I SET THE SIDE VIEW MIRRORS, I HAVE NEARLY CAUSED COLLISIONS BECAUSE OF THE 'BLIND SPOT.' BECAUSE I AM AWARE OF THIS DESIGN DEFICIENCY, I AM AS CAREFUL AS POSSIBLE WHEN CHANGING LANES, I USE MY SIGNAL, LOOK IN THE MIRROR, TURN MY HEAD AND THEN LOOK IN THE MIRROR AGAIN. NEVERTHELESS, THIS IS NOT SUFFICIENT. THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN WHEN I DRIVE OTHER VEHICLES. IF THERE IS SOME DEVICE THAT CAN BE ADDED TO THE CAR I WOULD SUGGEST DOING SO. *TR
WIPERS DO NOT SHUT OFF AFTER TURNING THEM OFF. WHEN THEY DO FINALLY SHUT OFF, THEY PARK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WINDSHIELD. ALSO, THE INTERMITTENT FEATURE DOES NOT WORK WHATSOEVER WHEN THIS OCCURS. THIS PROBLEM ONLY OCCURS DURING RAIN EVENTS. WIPERS WORK PROPERLY ON DRY DAYS. *TR
WINDSHIELD WASHER NOZZLE FREEZES UP MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE CLEARLY IN FREEZING WEATHER. I EVEN STOPPED AT AUTOZONE AND POURED IN NEW WASHER FLUID RATED DOWN TO -20 BELOW AND DROVE CAR FOR 2 HOURS CONSTANTLY TRYING TO SPRAY THE FRONT AND REAR WASHER BUT NONE CAME OUT. WINDSHIELD WAS SMEARED WITH ROAD SALT AND DEBRIS MAKING VISIBILITY VERY POOR. NEXT DAY WHEN TEMPS WENT OVER FREEZING THE WASHER STARTED SPRAYING AGAIN. *TR
THIS IS THE THIRD WINTER WITH OUR 2007 HONDA CR-V AND THERE IS A HUGE DESIGN FLAW AFFECTING THE PROPER FUNCTIONING OF THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS DURING PRECIPITATION IN COLD WEATHER. THE SNOW AND ICE BUILDS UP IN THE LARGE WELL BENEATH THE WIPER BLADES,CAUSING THE WIPER BLADES TO GET STUCK ON THIS SNOW AND ICE, AS WELL AS THE FROZEN PRECIPITATION STICKING TO THE WIPER BLADES. WE HAVE TO CONSTANTLY STOP, GET OUT OF THE CAR AND BREAK UP THE ICE AND SNOW FROM THE WELL AND THE WIPER BLADES IN ORDER FOR THEM TO FUNCTION CORRECTLY AND SAFELY. IT'S OUTRAGEOUS THAT A CAR THAT CAN BE PURCHASED WITH 4WD, CLEARLY MEANT TO BE DRIVEN IN SNOWY AREAS, WOULD HAVE THIS SEVERE DESIGN FLAW! HONDA REALLY NEEDS TO ADDRESS THIS FLAW WITH A DESIGN SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM THAT CAN BE INSTALLED ON THIS CAR! *TR
THERE IS A DESIGN FLAW IN OUR 2007 HONDA CR-V. IN WINTER PRECIPITATION CONDITIONS, THE FRONT WINDSHIELD WIPER FREEZES. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO CLEAR IT WITHOUT GETTING OUT OF THE CAR AND CLEARING IT MANUALLY. THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE WIPER RESTS BELOW THE WINDSHIELD AND THERE IS NO HEATING ELEMENT TO THAW A FROZEN WIPER AT ALL. THIS OCCURS EVERY TIME THERE IS PRECIPITATION BELOW FREEZING TEMPERATURE. THIS CAUSES SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED VISIBILITY. *TR
ON 2007 AND NEWER HONDA CRVS,, THE SIDE VIEW MIRRORS ARE NOT CONVEX AS THE ARE ON MOST VEHICLE. THIS DESIGN DEFECT RESULTS IN A VERY LARGE BLIND AREA, ESPECIALLY ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE, THAT IS STILL CAUSING NUMEROUS PROBLEMS AFTER 2 YEARS OF DRIVING DUE TO INABILITY TO SEE CARS DRIVING ANYWHERE CLOSE TO THE CAR. I HAVE DISCUSSED THIS SIGNIFICANT BLIND SPOT WITH SEVERAL OTHER CR-V OWNERS AND ALL HAVE FELT THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM. *TR
