2017 GMC YUKON Unknown Or Other Problems

The vehicle main information cluster randomly goes in and out and now has completely stopped working. This is the information display that shows Park, Nuetral, Drive, Reverse, Fuel gauge, digital MPH and other information such as oil tire pressure, turn signals, forward collision. Just knowing if the vehicle is in Park Reverse or Drive is a huge saftey issue. This seems to be a common problem on GM vehicles and i wcan't seem to find a recall issued for the saftey factor that the vehicle can be assumed to be in Park and it's actually in Reverse. The first time I noticed this problem was Sept. 05, 2020 but it had reset when I restarted the vehicle. The problem would resurface occasionally but always came back on when restarting the vehicle. But know it seems that restarting the vehicle is not fixing the problem and the screen has been blank...

The air condition lines that feed the rear compartment of the vehicle rub above the rear tire and put a hole in the line. The cost to replace was $2,000. Bad design

I bought the vehicle in October 2024 ever since then I have been trouble with the differential, the automatic starter doesn't start the vehicle unless you are at least one feet away from the vehicle. I drove to work when I got off and got in my vehicle my check engine light was on. The vehicle was saying there was an issue with the battery, antilock braking system. I bought an extended warranty up to 150,000, I currently have 63,400 on my vehicle. Empire Buick GMC of White Plains has not been honoring my warrantee, I had to rent a car to get back and forth to work because of fear of riding the NYC subway.

I was driving my car and it started making "clanging" and "banging" noises and jolting/jerking forward. It was scary to drive because of the noise and the jerking foward. I was afraid that my car was going to just stop working, I would get stuck/stranded somewhere or my car was going to blow up. I brought it in to the dealer two times. The first time they thought it was the battery so they replaced the battery but that didn't fix the problem. The second time I left it there for days and they told me that I needed a new transmission. The problem was reproduced and inspected by them. I am submitting this complaint regarding a persistent and significant transmission issue with my 2017 GMC Yukon Denali, which I purchased in June 2024. The transmission has been malfunctioning, causing the vehicle to jerk and hesitate, particularly during acceleration. This component is available for inspection upon request. I was taking my client to school. I stopped at the stop sign. When I pushed gas pedal to go, my truck did not go, it strained did a big jerk then went. The next morning it did the same thing & later on that day, it did it again. Two days later I had to stop at red light. When the light turned green I pressed the gas pedal & nothing. It did not go at all. I turned the ignition off and back on twice & put it in drive still did not go but was slowly going backwards. A by-stander stopped to assist me getting my truck out of traffic.

This happened 5 years ago but I never reported it. GMC 2017 Yukon. I put my SUV in park, and entered and exited it several times while parked in my driveway. When I went to grab my purse (standing at drivers side door, reaching for purse on passenger seat) the car rolled. I was on a sloped driveway. The car rolled backwards, and I tried to jam it into park more strongly, but it just made a grinding noise and kept going. I was knocked over by the car door, pulled under the car and ended up having my legs run over by the car. I sustained injuries which affect me to this day. Ac just stopped working at 100,000 miles

My 2017 GMC YUKON’S TRANSMISSION IS DEFECTIVE. THE SUV WILL JERK AND JOLT WHEN SHIFTING GEARS. IT IS EXTREMELY UNSAFE TO BE DRIVING WHEN YOU NEED TO RELEASE THE GAS PEDAL AND PRESS DOWN AGAIN IN ORDER TO SHIFT PROPERLY. THIS CAUSES AN EVEN MORE SUDDEN JOLTING. THIS IS EXTREMELY UNSAFE AS A FAMILY VEHICLE ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE A NEWBORN. I ASK A RECALL BE SUBMITTED SINCE I SEE SEVERAL REPORTS OF A SIMILAR ISSUE WITH THE 2017 GMC YUKON.

We took the car into the dealership and complained about the AC and the vehicle being new and they said it was a common problem with this vehicle and offered 10% discount.

Air-Conditioning condenser failure (Special Coverage Adjustment 173326 Air Conditioning Condenser (Combi-Cooler) Refrigerant Leak) According to GM they say my VIN is not on the list...however, I'm having the exact same issue on my 2017 Yukon with 38k miles on it.

My husband and I were driving down the freeway with our three children when without any warning, we heard a loud explosion and what felt like something hit our vehicle. There were no other cars near by. When we pulled off the freeway into a gas station to look at the vehicle the sunroof had a huge hole in the center. The remaining class attached to the vehicle was all shattered. There was shattered class on the closed shade. We didn't know what happened. It was very traumatizing. We thought someone threw something at us or something had fallen on the vehicle. If the sun shade wasn't closed, glass would have entered the vehicle and could have caused injury to us or our children in the back seats.

MY CAR A/C HAS A LEAK AT THE CONDENSER, THIS IS A DEFECT KNOWN BY GMC, THEY ONLY EXTENDED THE WARRANTY UP TO 60,000 MILES AND 72,000 ON CADILLAC, MY YUKON ACTUALLY HAS 71,500. THE REPAIR FOR THE GMC DEFECTIVE VEHICLE A/C IS EXTREMELY COSTLY TO REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE PARTS AND OVERPRICED LABOR.

WHILE DRIVING, MY A/C CLIMATE CONTROL HAS FAILED IN 2017 GMC YUKON (MILAGE 78,734). THIS HAS CAUSED A DANGEROUS PROBLEM WHEN THE WINDSHIELD FOGGED UP AND I COULDN'T SEE OUT THE WINDSHIELD ALMOST CAUSING A CRASH. I WAS SCARED TO DEATH FROM THIS INCIDENT DRIVING ON I270 HERE IN MD. I AM BOTH SHOCKED AND APPALLED THERE IS NO RECALL ISSUED AND THAT GM USED LEAKY AIR CONDITIONERS THAT BUCKLE UNDER PRESSURE IN MANY 2014-2017 TRUCKS AND SUVS. WHETHER IT'S BUSTED HOSES OR LEAKY CONDENSORS, THOUSANDS OF GM OWNERS LIKE ME ARE UPSET THAT A NATIONWIDE RECALL HAS NOT BEEN ISSUED TO REPAIR THIS DANGEROUS PROBLEM. THE REAR TAIL-GATE HAS COME DOWN BY ITSELF WHEN PUTTING ITEMS INTO OR TAKING ITEMS OUT OF THE BACK OF THE CAR. IT HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST SIX TIMES AND WITHOUT WARNING. IT HAS HAPPENED IN OUR DRIVEWAY AND IN PARKING LOTS. VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND TURNED OFF AT THE TIME. THIS CAN HURT OR KILL AN ADULT OR CHILD. VEHICLE FIRE. INVESTIGATION REVEALED POINT OF ORIGIN WAS IN LEFT REAR TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLY. CAUSE DETERMINED TO BE AN ELECTRICAL FAILURE. HANDS FREE REAR CARGO DOOR OPENS AND CLOSES WHEN PEOPLE ARE IN DANGER OF BEING STRUCK BY THE MOVING DOOR, WITHOUT AN INTENTIONAL MOTION OF THE FOOT TO OPEN OR CLOSE THE DOOR.
