The coolant control valve failed, and there is a recall for a software update for a valve issue in the transmission. The DEF system is flawed with the level being shown by approximate using a computer to calculate versus a level sensor or sending unit. My NOX sensor was replaced and the check engine light came back on for the same reason. It ended up being corrected by filling up the DEF.

In the past 6 years I have owned 4 GMC 6.2L trucks the first was a 2019 no issues great truck. The second unfortunately had a Short life with another vehicle. In 2023 The third a 2021 Denali 6.2L truck at 34k began using oil and blowing blue smoke out the tailpipes. The dealer started an oil consumption test (like you couldn’t see it happening) so finally at 45k they tore down the engine and found worn out valve guides and scored cylinders. They ordered an engine the engine was installed and it failed in 25 miles come to find out it was not oiling on one bank, A second motor was ordered and installed it failed at start up. At this time it had been months that the truck was down. The dealer took a stand and moved me into a 2022 GMC AT4 with 6.2L with the hopes...

The occupants were able to exit the vehicle. There were no reported injuries, crashes or police reports filed. the air bags deployed due to the fire. The fire department extinguished the fire. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot. The insurance agent conducted an independent investigation and found that the wire harness in the engine was hot and severed the fuel line. There was fuel in...
On June 8th I started my truck and it made a strange unfamiliar noise before starting. I thought it was bizarre. Shortly after I stopped in traffic and my truck stalled out. It stayed on but when I went to give it gas I didn’t move. So I restarted the engine and the same strange noise was made. Along with the noise I smelled something funny so I pulled into a gas station. Little did I know my truck was on fire. I got the vehicle away from the gas pumps and within 5 minutes the whole truck was on fire. Before this fire I had brought the vehicle in for service due to a check engine light multiple times the codes will be listed below. I also had an interlock device installed in the truck at the time.
Just got off the highway was at stop sign on exit ramp and it just died. No warnings no lights no indication that something was about to happen. No neutral so couldn’t even push it out of the way of traffic. Had it towed to shop for diagnostic. Possible lifter problem. $600. Dealership towed it to their shop. Engine tear down, lifters replaced. Gmc to pay 30%, dealership paying $1000, me $1300. Dealership started truck and the crank bearing spun. Now needs new engine, which are on back order. Cost ??? How long before engine available??? This is a known problem by the dealerships, GM & repair shops. Had we still been on the highway when this occurred doing 75mph we could have been killed.
The contact owns a 2022 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, he heard a knock sound coming from the engine compartment. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and during an inspection, the engine seized, after which the dealer diagnosed a failure with the rod bearings. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 31,000.
While unlocked, passenger doors go through unlocking phase, door locks click, parking lights flash and tail gate comes open. Along with this, an electric motor sound comes from underneath the vehicle (pre start fuel pressurization sequence?) that goes on and on, doors locked, or unlocked, that, left unchecked, drains the battery. Must be hooked to battery recharger round the clock.
The contact owns a 2022 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH, the vehicle lost power. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and opened a case. The failure mileage was approximately 14,000.
The car consumes oil to the point there's no oil in the engine. Not a result of a leak but rather the engine is actually burning it. I've taken it to 4 dealers, all confirmed it's due to Kia's bad engine design & that there's no visible leak anywhere. The kia dealer also confirmed there is no oil level sensor but only an oil pressure sensor. According to the dealer, I don't qualify for a new engine until the check engine light turns on or the vehicle results in a fire. I have to get the oil topped off every 500 miles. I don't feel safe driving this vehicle. The dealership also states I'm no longer covered under the warranty as I'm a 3rd owner. My coverage ends at 60,000. I was not aware of this during purchase of the vehicle back in 2020.
While driving my Vehicle down Interstate 20 in Odessa TX the engine locked up and quit running at 70 mph in traffic. The truck is 13 months old with 17,000 miles on it. No warning lamps or alarms prior to the truck just shutting down. It was towed to the nearest GM Dealership and the Maintenance facility was able to diagnose that the motor was locked up. It was towed back to the purchase dealership in Shreveport LA at owner expense of $2,500.
While driving my 2022 Sierra elevation in April of 2023 my check engine light and a reduced power light came on and onstar diagnostics gave me a code of P30B2. Made a service appointment and was told there was an issue with the wiring. Problem was fix so i was told by the dealership, but the check engine light has come on 3 more times for the same reason.
I purchased my 2022 GMC Sierra Denali Truck back in November from Ewing GMC in Plano, TX. I am a roofer, and my career depends on my vehicle. I live in Plano, TX, and was driving 80 mph back from Lubbock, TX around 12 PM Friday 3/24/23, on the highway when a notification appeared on my dash saying I needed to press the "start" button. The truck completely shut off, making it difficult for me to pull to the side of the road safely. Once I had stopped, I put the truck in "park" and it was completely unresponsive and would not re-start. I had to wait over 5 hours for OnStar to get a tow truck and get my truck. It was eventually towed to Frank Brown GMC in Lubbock around 6:30 PM that evening. I live in Plano, TX, and had to fly back the following morning. GMC...
Engine began stubling and warning lighta began flashing.
i FEEL IT IS IN THE FUEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM When driving along every now and then you can feel a vibration like diving on rumble strips. there is no rhyme or reason for it. I had it to the dealer and they told me that was normal, if you don't want it to do it then drive in 9th gear. I'm not going to shift to 9th every time I drive.
The engine shut off completely at a traffic light and didn’t start when I pressed the gas pedal to move. It has auto start to save gas and normally starts and stops at lights. This time, the car shut off completely, and I had to completely cycle through starting the car. I almost got rear ended because I took my foot off the brake to drive, and then nothing happened when I pressed the gas.
On 05/28/2022 my family was driving my brand new 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 3.0 Diesel at a rate of 60mph. There was suddenly a loud clunk (transmission) after proceeding a little further and getting speed back to 60mph there was a similar “clunk”… the diesel truck then immediately gained several various check engine / sensor lights all over the dash and went into Limp Mode. Speed slowly decreased from 60mph and finally as we were navigating our final left turn to our destination the truck would not accelerate thru an intersection subjecting our entire family to utter danger of oncoming vehicles. As a last ditch effort to save ourselves I put the truck in reverse and was able to reverse about 2mph. Then proceeded to shut the truck down and turn it back on to get out of the intersection, but the truck would not come out of park. Onstar...
Check engine light came on at 458 miles. Took it in and after an hour they determined it was the ecm. They said it was bad. Now they're on the hunt for one. In the meantime, in a day the truck has started feeling like it's over shifting and then bogging down. 458 miles, really! I'm going to need a loaner for longer than I've had it and still make payments.
Purchased 2022 GMC Sierra on 1/18/2022 with 0 miles on it...On 04/08/2022 the engine started a loud knocking noise...sounded like a piston trying to shoot out of engine..very loud..I was afraid to drive it.. We took it to the dealership and they said they have had a few come back for lifter problems.... Not very happy for my purchase of a brand new truck with 0 miles on it after driving for less than 3 months...
