On two separate occasions over a 6 month span the emergency braking system engaged while entering an underground parking garage. There were no vehicles in front or behind. The vehicle immediately engaged the brakes forced the vehicle to stop. Fortunately there were no injuries. I have opened a case with the manufacturer. I have read on blogs that others have experienced similar ghost braking issues. In their case the manufacturer and service technician claimed since nothing was recorded by the vehicle, there was nothing to be done. It is unacceptable for there to be no record of the emergency braking system engaging. Out is a core life safety protection. This issue should be investigated by the NHTSA to force the company to reevaluate the safety of their products.

The adaptive cruise control started pacing off vehicles in the right lane instead straight ahead. Then the vehicle's forward collision emergency brake system started engaging with no vehicles infront causing the vehicle to panic stop on its own for no reason. This panic stop could cause an accident, personal injury or death.

Fortunately, it was early in the morning and there was no traffic, but if there was, it would certainly be life threatening. I immediately scheduled an appointment with Genesis dealership after the incident in Waukesha and dropped it off with their service team on [XXX]. The service manager (Derek) called me after dropping the vehicle off and noted that the emergency brake also malfunctioned when he was taking the...
