Upon startup, the dashboard cluster that displays safety information and the speedometer did not power on until several minutes had passed. This happens randomly. This console includes the safety warning information and the speedometer and is not the infotainment screen (which worked as it should). This has not been reported to the dealership yet, though the issue is known and discussed on several owner forums.

Ever since the update that came to my car last October (update 24.11.1), the instrument cluster screen of my car does not turn on initially upon starting the car around half the time I start it. It will turn on eventually, varying in time anywhere from 1-10 minutes later. My local dealership has yet been able to fix it and tell me they have no idea why this would be happening and over the many attempts to fix this and many service appointments they now say that they need to replace the entire display but that none of available and not sure when they will be. Reading through the owners forums, I am not alone with this issue [XXX] ) Obviously, the car isn't safe to drive this way even though I continue to make my monthly payments to Genesis, so hoping someone can help me. (I've included two photos...

When starting the car on cold mornings--parked outside, under a carport--the instrument cluster is blank. It stays blank for two to seven or so minutes, whether or not the car is being driven. This only happens on the cold days, and didn't happen last winter. When the display comes on, it doesn't register the miles that were driven while it was blank. Using the pre-warm climate function before staring the vehicle--so, warming up the car--will cause the instrument cluster to work even on cold days, but that shouldn't need a workaround.

At random occurrences during car startup, the instrument cluster remains blank and can take up to several minutes to “wake up”. Since no cluster-related information such as speedometer or safety and diagnostic lights is available at this time, the car remains un-drivable until it eventually resolves. Should it occur while the car is being driven, it can pose a significant safety risk as none of the vehicle’s warning lights on the cluster are available. This problem first began to occur after the latest OTA software updated, though it’s not absolutely clear if this is the cause of the issue.

Freon is slowly to leaking causing air conditioner to blow hot air. Genesis has confirm level has drop significantly every summer but unable to identify leak or fix the issue. This is an environmental and health hazard.

Over the air updates are a prominent feature of the car that Genesis touts. The car's firmware gets updated including operating issues, brake system and throttle campaigns, safety fixes, and navigation get updated. The updates have been a big issue. Earlier this year an OTA update wiped out every user setting including steering, adaptive cruise and other safety related settings. This was an annoyance but could be corrected in a couple of hours for each driver's settings. In June, a new OTA update was sent out that was corrupted. US vehicles had the update get stuck at 63% completion. My car has been at Genesis service and the head unit now needs to be replaced since there is no way (USB stick or OTA) to reset the firmware. This may affect all US vehicles. It is not obvious unless one checks on the firmware version and gets screens like the...

My Car Has a charging port that overheats. It consistently overheats whenever I charge it at the full speed that the vehicle is rated for, 11.5kw (48amp 240V) and their solution, was to slow my charge rate down, once the port overheats, NOT FIX THE ISSUE, it still overheats.
