Power steering assist stopped working, shutting my traction and advanced traction control off
WHEN I WAS ON MY WAY BACK HOME FROM WORK MY CAR STARTED TO SHAKE AND THEN THE POWER STEERING FAULT CAME UP ON MY DASH. SO I HAD NO POWER STEERING AND WHEN THAT WENT OUT I WAS GOING ABOUT 60 AND I ALMOST WRECKED MY CAR BECAUSE OF IT.
TAKARA RECALL MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING ON A CITY STREET AND ALL OF A SUDDEN FRONT AND SIDE DRIVER SIDE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED SPONTANEOUSLY AND EXPLODED CAUSING HER BURNS AND LACERATIONS. ALSO CAUSED BRUISING AND PAIN ON HER SHOULDER,PAIN IN NECK LOWERBACK AND RIBCAGE AREA. THIS CAUSED HER TO REAR END ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE BATTERY COMPLETELY DIED AFTER AND NEEDED TO BE JUMP STARTED BY TOW COMPANY. THEY ALSO COULDN'T GET THE TRUNK TO OPEN. I HAVE A CLAIM WITH FORD AND THEY DID ASK ME AT MY COST TO DELIVER CAR TO DEALERSHIP SO THEY COULD RETRIEVE THE RCM BUT MY INSURANCE WILL NOT ALLOW THE VEHICLE TO BE REMOVED. I DID CONTACT MY PRODUCT CLAIM REP AND NOW I AM BEING COMPLETELY IGNORED. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS DEFECT THAT NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED. THANK YOU.
WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY OR CITY STREET I HAVE MY SEAT WARMER ON IN MY DRIVERS SEAT AFTER A SHORT PERIOD, THE BACK OF MY SEAT GETS SO HOT THAT I CAN'T LEAN AGAINST IT. IT GOT SO HOT THAT IT BURNT THE MIDDLE OF MY SEAT. THE BURN MARK IS ABOUT THE SIZE OF A DIME.I HAVE HEARD THAT SOME CADILLAC'S HAVE CAUGHT FIRE DUE TO SEAT WARMERS.. ...*BF... *TR
TAMARA RECALL, THE TRACTION LIGHT COME ON AND OFF THE POWER STEERING FAILURE LIGHT COME ON AND MAKES A SCREECHING NOISE, AND THE POWER STEERING GETS EXTREMELY STIFF IN TURNS LIKE IT'S ABOUT TO LOCK UP. THE CAR ONLY HAS 44,000 MILES. ALL THIS HAPPENED WHILE ON A CITY STREET WHEN TURNING. IT'S THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING/ RACK AND PINION. THERE ARE A LOT OF POST ON YOUTUBE AS WELL.
TAKATA RECALL - WE HAVE RECEIVED NUMEROUS LETTERS, POSTCARD AND EMAILS ABOUT THE AIRBAG RECALL AND WE HAVE TRIED, UNSUCCESSFULLY NUMEROUS TIMES TO SET UP A DATE AND TIME FOR THE AIRBAG REPLACEMENT WITH OUR DEALERSHIP. I HAVE CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND SPOKE TO SEVERAL PEOPLE TELLING THE ISSUES REPEATEDLY TO EACH PERSON I SPOKE TO. I WAS TRANSFERRED TO THE SERVICE MANAGER I WAS TOLD WHOM DID NOT ANSWER AND I LEFT A VERY DETAILED MESSAGE REGARDING THE REASON FOR MY CALL, THE SPECIFICS OF THE CAR AND MULTIPLE WAYS TO CONTACT MYSELF OR MY FIANCE. I HAVE HAD TO CALL SEVERAL MORE TIMES DIE TO NOT RECEIVING ANY RETURN CALL FROM ANYONE AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR OVER A MONTH. I HAVE LOOKED TO SEE IF I COULD SCHEDULE AND APPOINTMENT ONLINE AND THEY DO NOT HAVE THAT OPTION AVAILABLE. THEREFORE I HAVE HAD TO TAKE TIME AWAY FROM...
TAKATA RECALL - THIS 2014 MUSTANG HAS APPROXIMATELY 22700 MILES AND HAS BEEN SUBJECT TO THE TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL FOR APPROXIMATELY TWO YEARS. THOUGH FORD HAS NOTIFIED ME THAT AIRBAGS ARE AVAILABLE, I CANNOT GET A DEALER (I'VE BEEN TO TWO) TO INSTALL THE AIRBAG. ADDITIONALLY, THE CAR HAS AN ELECTRICAL FAULT IN THE ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM THAT HAS BEEN NOTED SINCE THE CAR HAD 5000 MILES ON IT. DESPITE MORE THAN FIVE TRIPS TO THE DEALER AND MORE THAN 28 DAYS IN THE SHOP, THE CAR IS STILL UNREPAIRED. THE FORD ENGINEER'S LATEST SPECULATION AS TO THE CAUSE IS A SOFTWARE PROBLEM, WHICH HE ACKNOWLEDGED COULD AFFECT ALL SYSTEMS, INCLUDING BRAKES, THROTTLE CONTROL, LIGHTING, AND THE AIRBAGS TO NAME A FEW. BBB'S AUTOLINE ARBITRATOR AGREED THAT THE CAR IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE AND ORDERED FORD TO REPURCHASE THE VEHICLE. HOWEVER, FORD DID NOT DO SO WITHIN THE ALLOTTED TIME...
ON 8/18/16, I WAS DRIVING ON MARYLAND STATE ROUTE 198, AT ABOUT 40 MPH, WHEN THE CAR BEGAN TO LURCH FORWARD, STOP, LURCH FORWARD AS I CAME THROUGH A ROUNDABOUT. I PULLED OVER TO THE SHOULDER. I TURNED THE CAR OFF, RESTARTED THE CAR, AND WHILE ON THE SHOULDER, I PRESSED THE GAS PEDAL, AND AGAIN THE CAR LURCHED FORWARD TWICE AND THEN STOPPED. WRENCH LIGHT WAS LIT UP ON DASHBOARD (IT WASN'T LIT MOMENTS BEFORE) AND WHEN I LOOKED AT THE MANUAL IT SAID THE CAR HAD DEFAULTED TO "LIMP TO HOME" AND I SHOULD SEE THE DEALER. I WAS MORE THAN 40 MILES FROM HOME AND CALLED AAA. IF THIS HAD OCCURRED 10 MINUTES LATER, I WOULD HAVE BEEN DRIVING 55 MPH ON INTERSTATE 295 S AND WOULD HAVE BEEN IN DANGER BECAUSE THAT ROAD HAS NO SHOULDER. THIS CAR BEHAVIOR MIMICKED WHAT I EXPERIENCED OCT. 6, 2015...
THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED. UPON STARTING THE CAR, THE MOTOR REVS UNCONTROLLED TO ABOUT 7000 RPMS. I HAVE TO TURN IGNITION OFF TO STOP THE MOTOR FROM DAMAGING ITS SELF. IF MY FOOT WAS TO EVER SLIP OFF THE CLUTCH, WE WOULD RACE UNCONTROLLED IN REVERSE! THE CAR IS ALWAYS PARKED AND STARTED WHILE IN REVERSE. ALMOST AFRAID TO START THIS CAR. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD MUSTANG. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE HEAT THAT EMITTED THROUGH THE VENTS WAS ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURE BURNING THE CONTACT RIGHT HAND FINGERS AND WRIST. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 500.
2014 FORD MUSTANG. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO ENGINE PROBLEMS. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED SHE HEARD A TICKING SOUND, AFTER DRIVING FOR 15 MINUTES. THE DEALER STATED THE ENTIRE LONG BLOCK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. AFTER THE LONG BLOCK WAS REPLACED, THE ENGINE LIGHT STARTED FLASHING, AND THE ENGINE WAS REVVING HIGHER THAN NORMAL. THE VEHICLE ACCELERATING BY ITSELF IN GEAR AND THERE WERE PRESSURE ISSUES WITH THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO REPLICATE THE CONSUMERS CONCERN. THE NEXT TIME THE CONSUMER RETURNED TO THE DEALER, THE IGNITION WAS REPLACED. THE RPM'S CONTINUED TO REV, IDLE WAS VERY ROUGH, EVEN WITH THE AC OFF. THE TICKING NOISE WAS STILL PRESENT, AND THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS HARD TO THE TOUCH. *JB
