The vehicle was able to be restarted. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed, and it was determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 80,000.
