TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 FORD F-350. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MUFFLER BRACKETS AND EXHAUST MANIFOLD WERE CORRODED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, BUT THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 42,328.
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED AN ODOR OF EXHAUST WAS DETECTED. THE VEHICLE WAS PULLED OVER AND EXHAUST WAS LEAKING BETWEEN THE ENGINE HEAD AND MANIFOLD UNDER THE HOOD. THE DEALERSHIP DETERMINED THE MANIFOLD BOLTS SHEERED OFF DUE TO HEAT. NEW BOLTS NEEDED TO BE DRILLED ON THE MANIFOLD.
