Slight vibration at highway speed accompanied by faint grinding noise. Ford installed front auto locker to only one front wheel and a dummy full time locker to right front wheel in non trimmer 2024 f250 and f350s. They know the problem because they issued a tsb 52423 but do not contact truck owners of issue. Having only one locker makes the right side front axel spin at highway speeds and cause noise, vibration and unequal drag on the two front wheels causing the vehicle to drift to the right. Ford knows this, as evident by them going back to two locking auto hubs on 2025 models. My bigger concern is what happens in 100k k miles when the front differential being warn out by the highway speeds fails and locks up the front differential and suddenly locks the front right wheel and potentially sends the 7000 lb vehicle in an...
I purchased my new 2024 Ford F250 on [XXX] with less than 30 miles on the odometer. It includes a 10-speed automatic transmission. I have noticed erratic up shifting and down shifting of the transmission. The problem started at approximately 700 miles on the vehicle. Additionally I have noticed that after initial starting the vehicle, when placed into drive or reverse, the transmission appears to slam into gear as noticed by a large jerk and loud sound. The vehicle continues to sound like there is a mismatch between the engine revving up and transmission lagging behind for some time, or as if the transmission is slipping gears. The new vehicle was taken into the dealership on 6/9/2025 at 7:00AM and work was reportedly completed and vehicle ready for pickup on [XXX]. I was informed that the service technician performed a break-in procedure and that everything was okay. Within 30 minutes...
Transmission switching gears while driving. From 3 down to 1 or 6 down to 1. And not engaging gears. Sudden strong jerks, as if something fell off from under the hood.
While on an incline with the front-end facing up-hill, in 2WD mode, the truck rolls backward after placed in "Park." The truck will continue rolling until application of the brakes. This happens every time. When in 4WD (H) mode, the truck does not roll when in "Park." This has occurred since we purchased the truck on 23 December 2024; however, until yesterday, we thought the truck was only sliding on our icy driveway. On 20 February 2025, we confirmed without a doubt that the truck is actually rolling while in "Park." To ensure the truck does not roll, after placing in "Park," we also apply the parking/emergency brake. This was reported to our local Ford dealer on 21 February 2025. A service appointment has been made.
On numerous times when you start the truck there is a delay from when you engage drive and the drivetrain gets power. To the point that 1 time the truck rolled back into another destroying their bumper.
