Vehicle is showing symptoms similar to common reported problems from people who owned Ford F-150 with Eco-boost. Symptoms such as: Engine had difficulty starting Transmission shifting Rattling noises coming out from the engine compartment Oil leaks coming out the tail pipe Gauge is showing engine is over heating Turbo is having a hard time accelerating

Check engine light turn on with the code P0087. The truck don't turn on quickly. Lose power at high demand or RPM.

Driving at highway speeds and my truck began to shake violently and very loud banging sound. Slowed down to pull over on the highway. Found driveshaft broken in half with gas dumping out of the fuel tank. Broken driveshaft damaged heat shield for gas tank, punctured gas tank and dented/broke clips on exhaust. Very lucky back driveshaft didn’t hit pot hole and leaking gas didn’t start a fire. Stranded on side of road for hours. Sent my vin to the dealership and they said my was not under the recall #21S56 even tho it was built after known driveshaft issue and clearly the insulator caused the issue.

On or about April 2024, the "check engine" light came on in my 2020 Ford F-150. My vehicle was just becoming due for re-registration. I had the code for the check engine light checked at my parts dealer and double checked at the maintenance facility I was having services done. The check engine code was for the catalytic converter. I had the catalytic converter and O2 sensors replaced at my service provider, the check engine light was extinguished and the codes had been removed, the vehicle emissions no longer reported on the service/inspection station and the vehicle passed the emissions/safety check for re-registration. In less than one month, the check engine light came on again, with the exact same codes that identify the catalytic converter failing. Both the parts dealer and the service provider tell me that it's impossible. Further checking by the service provider with Ford motor Company service...

Noticed significant gasoline leak under fuel tank when the engine was running. From the ground, looked up and saw that fuel was leaking from a black fuel hose originating at the top of fuel tank and directed going toward the engine. The fuel hose had dropped below the top of the truck frame and chaffed against a frame mounting point wearing a hole in the hose. Suspect the hose was manufactured to long allowing the droop, or was installed incorrectly (not clamped to prevent droop), or the hose installation was just defective as the hose is to long and a clamp was not part of the vehicle design. My truck has about 23,500 miles and has only been operated on paved roads and used for either commuting or carrying light household loads.

Reporting this same incident type again. My truck continues to sporadically shutoff while operating the vehicle. My truck has shutoff while driving twice in the past 2 months. Under normal driving conditions I can be driving and suddenly the engine will shutoff and I lose all power and power steering. The latest episode I was turning right with traffic approaching behind with my kids in the truck as well. The error on the dash is the same every time “Auto StartStop Manual Restart Required”. I have to come to a complete stop and put the truck in park to be able to restart. Having to stop on a very busy road to restart is a major safety issue and I believe this truck will end up hurting myself or others. I have had the truck into ford more than once and they claim there is no problem even though I...

On 8/26/22 I smelled gas after parking 2020 F150 with ~ 33,000 miles. I had filled the tank the previous day ( <20 miles driven since that time). I was in a marina parking lot at that point and dismissed the smell as perhaps someone spilling some fuel from a portable gas tank. Upon arriving home I again smelled a strong odor of gas and noted my fuel gauge registered 3/4 of a tank ( despite driving < 30 miles since refueling). A very brisk gas leak was evident under pressure from a fuel hose fitting. The high pressure stream abated with turning off the engine ( but a slow fuel leak was still notable.) The vehicle was towed to Ravenel Ford in Ravenel, S.C. awaiting inspection/parts. No warning lights. I did note the engine hesitated to start (which it never had done prior) before driving back home from the...

At approximately 9700 miles my truck has started malfuctioning and causing a safety risk. On takeoff the truck feels powerless until approximately 3 seconds after pressing the gas pedal. While crossing an intersection, I hit the gas which moved my truck forward very slowly in front of on-coming traffic but took approximately 3 seconds to start moving at the rate of speed a vehicle normally should. I could have been T-boned from this. The main issue I have noticed is while driving between 20 and 40 mph and giving enough gas to maintain speed, the truck starts jolting back and forth until I either let my foot off the gas or floor it. It also makes a clunking noise in the rear end while this happens. I called Ford and scheduled an appointment which was 4 weeks out and they just told me to "Take it easy driving it, it...

WHILE I WAS DRIVING THROUGH A PARKING LOT, AND TURNING SLIGHTLY LEFT, THE ENGINE SHUT OFF COMPLETELY AND DISPLAYED "AUTO STARTSTOP SHIFT TO P, THEN RESTART ENGINE" ON THE DASH DISPLAY. FORTUNATELY, I WAS NOT TRYING TO TURN AND CROSS TRAFFIC ON A HIGHWAY WHICH COULD HAVE RESULTED IN A CATASTROPHIC T-BONE COLLISION. THE AUTO START/STOP FUNCTION APPEARS TO BE FAULTY AND NEEDS TO BE FIXED/RECALLED BEFORE SOMEONE IS SERIOUSLY INJURED OR KILLED. FROM RESEARCHING ONLINE FORUMS, THE ISSUE APPEARS TO BE WIDESPREAD AND ACROSS MULTIPLE MODEL YEARS.

VEHICLE IN MOTION PULLED UP TO A STOP LIGHT (WITH START/STOP DISABLED VIA THE BUTTON) THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN BEFORE COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP BUT THE TRUCK SHUT OFF. THEN I WAS GREETED WITH A WINDOW THAT DISPLAYED "AUTO START UNAVAILABLE SHIFT TO P TO RESTART". I PUT THE TRUCK IN PARK, RESTARTED IT, AND IT DROVE FINE AFTER THAT.
