2022 FORD F-150 LIGHTNING BEV Forward Collision Avoidance Warnings Problems

Extreme corrosion on connector for headlamp assembly and front camera. Also, extreme corrosion on connector that powers lightbar. Ford denied warranty claim by considering it a lamp issue even though lamp was good. The lightbar and connector w/ corrosion are one single part. Corrosion was so bad multiple pins had rusted off. This could cause electrical short and potential fire risk.

And all 5 appointments have been unsuccessful at replacing the light since [XXX]. It is now October 2024, over 17 months since the NHTSA recall from June 2023. As of the date of this letter, my next appointment is schedule for [XXX], once again I called Colonial Ford dealership in Plymouth, Massachusetts to confirm my lightbar is available and the service advisor told me it is not in stock, and rescheduled me to [XXX]. This letter pursues, after several failed appointment and long wait times waiting to hear the part is on backorder for the last year. While in Adaptive Cruise and self driving the Lightening, dangrously crosses lines and rides too close to the right side. This results in other drivers actively swerving off the road to avoid a collision as well as intervention by me. I have videos of all of the following occurring while operating the vehicle: 1. Riding and crossing the right line (white and dotted when passing) 2. Vehicle crossing the double center lines into oncoming traffic 3. My 2022 F150 Lightning was involved in a 3 car collision on Interstate 80. Three safety components of the pickup truck did not engage in preventing the accident. Specifically the adaptive cruising did not slow the truck down as traffic came to a slow crawl on the highway due to an apparent accident up ahead. Normally the adaptive cruising will start decreasing speed if the vehicle in front encroaches on the distance set for clearance. The second component which was the forward collision aural and visual warnings did not sound nor flash a warning sign on the dashboard that a collision was imminent. On May 25, 2023 I was stopped at a red light with one car in front of me. My foot was not on brake because i use the one peddle feature. All of the sudden, my car accelerated and ran into the car in front of me. In the 2 seconds before hitting car, I saw my collision assistant light go on but there was no braking at all. I've been driving for almost 40 years and nothing like this has ever happened. Clearly, something internally with the sensors or computer system malfunctioned.
