2022 FORD EDGE Forward Collision Avoidance Automatic Emergency Braking Problems

The contact owns a 2022 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while reversing, the rearview camera image was delayed while being displayed. The contact stated that a message that the Collision Assist was not available was displayed. Additionally, the contact stated while driving 55-60 MPH and depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle lurched forward several times. Additionally, the contact stated that upon attempting to drive from a complete stop, the accelerator pedal was depressed but the vehicle failed to respond. The contact stated that the vehicle lurched forward while responding, and the vehicle jerked while driving. The contact was able to pull into a parking lot. The contact stated that upon shifting to reverse(R), the vehicle failed to respond. There was no warning light illuminated. Vehicle starting giving blocked front sensor errors disabling adaptive cruise control and forward collision warning and emergency braking systems. Car was cleaned and all sensors were clear but issue continued. The safety concern was that it unexpected and without any reason applied the collision warning and automatic braking a couple if times, which is very unsafe
