The contact owns a 2022 Ford Edge. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH, the vehicle was significantly close to the vehicle in front of him; however, the Forward Collision Avoidance system failed to engage. A message indicating that the Forward Collision Avoidance sensors had failed was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the failure was due to the detachment of the bracket attached to the front bumper. The vehicle was not repaired. Additionally, the contact stated that the Adaptive Cruise Control mode was inoperable while driving. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, who made the same assessment and charged a repair fee. The vehicle was not repaired. Vehicle starting giving blocked front sensor errors disabling adaptive cruise control and forward collision warning and emergency braking systems. Car was cleaned and all sensors were clear but issue continued. The safety concern was that it unexpected and without any reason applied the collision warning and automatic braking a couple if times, which is very unsafe
