NOV.4 SIMPLY I HAD A WHEEL BEARING GO BAD ON PASSENGER SIDE FRONT ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO ! NOW I HAVE THE WHEEL BEARING ON THE DRIVERS SIDE GO BAD , COSTING ME OVER1100 DOLLARS !! I HAVE OWNED OVER 30 CARS IN MY LIFETIME WITH FAMILY AND HAVE NEVER HAD TO REPLACE A WHEEL BEARING. WHATS GOING ON!!!!
MY TIRES HAVE BEEN SLOWLY LOSING AIR FOR A WHILE. GOT NEW TIRES. STILL LOSING AIR MORE FREQUENTLY. NOW I FILL TIRES AT EVERY GAS FULL UP. FOUND A CRACK IN THE RIM. NOW ANOTHER RIM HAS A CRACK. THE RIMS ARE ALUMINUM 20", 7 SPLIT SPOKE, 5 BOLT RIMS. MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ON LINE TOO. SEEMS WAY TO EARLY IN A CAR'S LIFE TO HAVE THIS HAPPEN. I WILL BE ORDERING ANOTHER NEW REPLACEMENT RIM. I'VE OWNED MANY CARS AND HAVE NEVER HAD THIS HAPPEN BEFORE. THANK YOU

I I BOUGHT A 2008 FORD EDGE SEVERAL YEARS AGO. I TOTALED IT BUT THE AIR BAGS NEVER DEPLOYED. I THEN BOUGHT A 2010 FORD EDGE IN 2016 AND I BOUGHT IT NOT KNOWING ABOUT THE RECALLS. I HE BEEN IN A REANTAL ALL SUMMER AND THEY FORD DEALERSHIP IN LADOGA SAID THE PARTS ARE IN FOR THE RECALL. I'M NOT IT'S NOT IN THE SYSTEM ANYWHERE AND NOW I HAD TO TAKE IT TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP BECAUSE MY HUBS ARE MESSED UP AND MY CAR DIED FROM PARKING IT IN THE SUN. I NEED TO KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON. I HAVE CHILDREN AND JUST WANT TO BE SAFE SINCE LADOGA SENT ME AWAY SAYING MY CAR WAS OKAY AND DIDN'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS.BUR NOW FORD WANTS 2,590 - 3,000 I'M WITH OUT A RENTAL NO ONE WOULD PROVIDE ME AND THE CHILDREN ONE IT'S BEEN SEVERAL WEEKS NOW
I RECENTLY HAD TO REPLACE POWER STEERING LINES IN MY VEHICLE DUE TO METAL CORROSION RUSTING THROUGH THE LINES AND CAUSING THE FLUID TO LEAK OUT, THIS ISSUE HAS REPEATEDLY CAUSED MY CAR TO GO OUT OF ALIGNMENT AND HAS RUINED MY TIRES. THE POWER STEERING WAS NOT WORKING PROPERLY TO THE POINT OF BEING DANGEROUS BECAUSE OF IT. BECAUSE MY CAR IS ONLY 7 YEARS OLD I AM WONDERING IF THIS CORROSION WOULD BE COVERED BY SOME SORT OF WARRANTY OR IF THIS IS UNDER RECALL? ESPECIALLY SINCE MY CAR IS UNDER RECALL FOR GAS TANK AND AIR BAG CORROSION. I HAVE REPORTED THIS TO FORD AS WELL. THE REPAIR JUST OF THE POWER STEERING LINES COST ME $500. I STILL NEED TO REPLACE ALL FOUR TIRES AS WELL. THIS DEFECT IS DANGEROUS. METAL PARTS SHOULD NOT BE CORRODING ON CARS.
BOUGHT 2010 ONLY 24000 MILES ON CAR, TIRES ARE DRY ROTTED, THE TIRES ARE 2008 CONFIRMED BY DISCOUNT TIRE. HOW ARE 2008 TIRES ON A 2010 NEW CAR. AT RISK FOR ACCIDENT DUE TO ALL 4 ROTTED. COST TO REPLACE $800.00. 2ND IS THE TIE-RODS RUSTED OUT PER FORD DEALERSHIP. THIS CAR IS ONY 5 YEARS ALL WITH LOW MILAGE, THERE SHOULD NOT BE PROBLEMS AT THIS STAGE CAR IS LEMON
I PURCHASED A USED VEHICLE FROM BROADWAY KIA. UPON INSPECTION I FOUND THAT THERE WERE A FEW, WHAT APPEARED TO BE COSMETIC DAMAGES TO THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE RIM. I ASKED THE SALES PERSON, [XXX] ABOUT THE DAMAGED RIM BECAUSE IT APPEARED TO BE BENT. HE ASSURED ME THAT THE ENTIRE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED AND THAT THE TIRE/WHEEL WAS NOT COMPROMISED. APPROXIMATELY 2 WEEKS LATER THE TIRE PRESSURE GAUGE CAME ON IN THE CAR. I FILLED ALL THE TIRES BECAUSE AT THAT POINT I WAS NOT CERTAIN ANY ONE TIRE WAS LOW. APPROXIMATELY 2 WEEKS AFTER THAT I HAD TO PUT MORE AIR IN THE RIGHT PASSENGER SIDE TIRE. AT THAT POINT I WENT TO A FIRESTONE TIRES TO HAVE THEM REPAIR WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A LEAK. THEY ADVISED THAT THE TIRE COULD NOT BE DISMOUNTED AND REPAIRED BECAUSE THE RIM ITSELF WAS BENT AND CRACKING AND THAT I...
I WAS PERFORMING PREVENTATIVE VEHICLE MAINTENANCE ON MY 2010 FORD EDGE. I HAD JUST COMPLETED A BASIC OIL CHANGE, TO INCLUDE BOTH OIL FILTER AND AIR FILTER CHANGE ALONG WITH TOPPING OFF OF ALL VEHICLE FLUIDS. I LASTLY ATTEMPTED TO ROTATE THE VEHICLE TIRES WHEN I NOTICED THAT TWO OF THE VEHICLES LUG NUTS WHERE JUST FREE SPINNING ALONG THE WHEEL STUD OR BOLT. AT FIRST I THOUGHT THE LUG NUTS HAD JUST STRIPPED AND WAS IN THE PROCESS OF REPLACING THEM WHEN THE ENTIRE LUG NUT AND WHEEL STUDS (BOLT) CAME COMPLETELY OFF THE WHEEL HUB. THIS IS VERY CONCERNING DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE VEHICLE IS ONLY TWO (2) YEARS OLD AND IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, NOT TO MENTION THAT I HAVE NEVER ENCOUNTERED A PROBLEM WITH A VEHICLES WHEEL STUDS. THE WHEEL STUDS ALONG WITH THE LUG NUTS ARE THE COMPONENTS THAT HOLD THE TIRES SECURELY TO...
WE RECENTLY EXPERIENCED A TIRE BLOWOUT OF THE LEFT REAR TIRE ON OUR 2010 FORD EDGE WHILE TRAVELING SOUTH ON INTERSTATE 81 SOUTH JUST OUTSIDE OF SCRANTON PA. AT THE TIME OF THE BLOWOUT WE WERE TRAVELING ABOUT 60MPH. WHEN I WENT TO CHANGE THE TIRE I OBSERVED THAT THE WHEEL (RIM) HAD STARTED TO COLLAPSE AND THE OUTER RIM HAD SEPARATED FROM THE HUB ABOUT 75% OF THE WAY. WE DID NOT RUN OVER ANYTHING THAT WE CAN REMEMBER. THERE WAS NO NOISE THAT WOULD NORMALLY BE EXPECTED IF SOMETHING WAS IN THE ROAD AND NEITHER OF US HEARD ANYTHING BUT THE NOISE OF THE TIRE BLOWOUT. SERIOUS ISSUE WITH DAILY LOSS OF TIRE PRESSURE RANGING FROM 3 TO 18 LBS, IN 2010 FORD EDGE SPORT WITH 22' WHEELS. TSB FROM FORD INDICATES THEY ARE AWARE BUT WILL NOT RECALL/REPLACE WHEELS. TSB INDICATES PROBLEM CAUSED BY CORROSION/DIRT ON TIRE BEAD SEAT AREA, PREVENTING PROPER SEAL. VEHICLE HAS BEEN RETURNED TO DEALER 8 TIMES, RIMS/TIRES CLEANED, BEAD SEALER ADDED EVERY TIME, VALVE STEMS CHANGED, TIRE SLIME ADDED EVERY TIME, MOUNT, REBALANCE & ROTATE EVERY TIME, YET STILL NO RESOLUTION. TIRE PRESSURE LOSS OCCURS WITHIN 4 DAYS EVERY TIME RETURNED FROM DEALER. CURRENTLY ESCALATED, THROUGH NUMEROUS PHONE CALLS TO FORD MOTOR CO, AND AWAITING RESPONSE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD EDGE SPORT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT TIRES WOULD LOSE PRESSURE CONSTANTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES FOR THE FAILURE. THE DEALER ROTATED THE TIRES, REPLACED THE TIRES VALVES AND REPROGRAMMED THE COMPUTER SYSTEM, BUT THE FAILURE WAS NOT CORRECTED AND THE TIRES CONTINUED LOSE PRESSURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT FURTHER REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 16,000.
