2021 FORD BRONCO SPORT Wheels Problems

Rear wheels seems to lock up if you turn a sharp turn right or left. Rear wheels seems to slide,causing safety concern. Dealer has not been contacted. Manufacturer has not been notified. No warnings or lights

The rear axle differential. The rear axle is making a bumping and grinding noise upon acceleration and when turning at low speed as if the axle is going to fail. It happens during right and left turns but right turns are worse. The vehicle was taken in for diagnostics, and there is a TSB for suggested repairs. The parts needed to be ordered.

The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the passenger’s side rear wheel made a loud growling sound and lost traction. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, however; the vehicle was not diagnosed. The dealer informed the contact that the failure was a known issue; however, there was no recall for the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but confirmed there were no recalls on the VIN. The contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 22,000.

A few weeks ago, my Ford Bronco Sport (Big Bend) starting jolting when I made slow turns to the right. It has since increased the jolting/seizing with a grinding noise since it began. My car has been looked at for this issue in which Chastang Ford replaced both frontal control arms stating this was causing the jolting. However, my car continued to jolt/seize on slow right turns. I took it back to Chastang Ford, and they said the RDU fluid needs replaced along with the hose. Their labor costs were high, so I got a second opinion at FireStone. The mechanic at FireStone told me the RDU needs to be assessed and gave me information about a recall for this issue.
