TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DODGE RAM 2500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER 13V529000 (STEERING) HAD EXCEEDED A REASONABLE TIME FOR REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE DEALER WOULD RECEIVE ONE PART EVERY SEVEN DAYS AND THAT THE CONTACT WOULD NEED TO SCHEDULE AND APPOINTMENT FOR RECALL REPAIRS. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DODGE RAM 2500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER WHILE MAKING A TURN. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 13V529000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER AND THE DEALER WERE CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE PART NEEDED FOR THE REPAIR WAS NOT AVAILABLE WOULD NOT BECOME AVAILABLE FOR APPROXIMATELY THREE MONTHS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 18,000. UPDATED 02/11/14*LJ THE CONSUMER STATED THE FAILURE OF THE STEERING OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING 20-25 MPH ON CURVED ROADS. WHEN HE MADE A RIGHT TURN, THE STEERING LOCKED-UP AND THE VEHICLE DRIFTED INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC LANE. THE CONSUMER ALMOST HAD TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP IN ORDER FOR THE STEERING TO UN-LOCK. THE DEALER INFORMED IT WOULD BE 3-4 MONTHS, BEFORE THE VEHICLE COULD BE REPAIRED, DUE TO LACK OF PARTS.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE A DATE OF AVAILABILITY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
I HAVE A 2012 RAM 2500 HEAVY DUTY AND MY LEFT FRONT AXLE SEAL STARTED LEAKING. THE DEALER FIXED IT. NOW 11 MONTH LATTER IT LEAKED AGAIN . THEY REPLACED IT AS WARRANTY. NOW ONE WEEK LATTER STARTED LEAKING AGAIN. DEALER STILL DOES NOT KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON. *TR

THE CONTACT INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE OUTER TIE ROD WAS FRACTURED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V529000 (STEERING) BUT WAS ADVISED BY THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL BECAUSE THE DEALER HAD PERFORMED MODIFICATIONS PRIOR TO THE VEHICLE BEING PURCHASED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 13,970.
I WAS DRIVING UP TO A STOP SIGN WHEN MY BRAKES GOT VERY HARD. WHEN I WENT TO TURN, IT WAS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE. EVERY TIME I PUSH THE BRAKES THE STEERING LOCKS UP BUT WHEN I ACCELERATE I GET THE STEERING BACK. I ALMOST RAN OFF THE ROAD INTO A DITCH. *TR
WHILE BACKING OUT OF A PARKING SPACE AND PLACING THE VEHICLE IN DRIVE TO GO FORWARD, I HEARD A LOUD CLUNK. STOPPED FOR A MOMENT AND CHECKED UNDERNEATH AND FOUND THAT THE LEFT FRONT TIRE ROD HAD BROKEN OFF AND WAS HANGING ALMOST TO THE GROUND. I TOOK IT TO MY REGULAR PLACE FOR MAINTENANCE AND HAD IT REPAIRED. MY RESEARCH FOUND THAT THERE IS A RECALL FOR YEAR MODELS UP THROUGH 2011 BUT NONE FOR 2012. *TR
I WAS DRIVING SLOWLY FORWARD IN A PARKING LOT. I TURNED LEFT AND MY LEFT TIE ROD BROKE. I WAS UNABLE TO MOVE AND HAD TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE NEAREST DODGE DEALERSHIP. *TR
YOU CAN NOT CONTROL THE MOVEMENT OF THE TRUCK WHEN TOWING. IT WONDERS FROM SIDE TO SIDE OF THE ROAD. TOOK TO DEALER TO HAVE THE FRONT END CHECKED. IT CHECKED OK. BF GOODRICH INSTALLED 4 NEW TIRES AT 1900 MILES. TRUCK STILL ROAD WALKS WHEN TOWING. THE ONLY WAY TO STOP IT IS TO APPLY THE BRAKES. OTHERWISE, THE SWAYING MOTION OF THE TRUCK, WILL MAKE YOU LEAVE THE ROAD. I KNOW IT IS NOT THE TRAILER THAT I AM TOWING. REASON #1: I HAVE ALL THE SAFETY EQUIPMENT TO TOW THIS TRAILER PROPERLY. REASON #2: IS THAT I HOOKED THE SAME TRAILER ON MY 2009 GMC DIESEL 2500 AND THE TRAILER TOWED PERFECTLY. I DID THIS ON THE SAME ROAD, ON THE SAME DAY.
