The vehicle stalled during normal use traveling about 35 miles an hour right after an intersection. MY husband was able to safely make it off the road as we live in a small town he did this by feathering the accelerator pedal. He is a mechanic so he was able to get it home by lightly tapping the pedal. If he pressed the pedal too hard the car stalled without warning so he lightly tapped on it and made it 2 blocks to our home where it has set in the driveway ever since. We spent over $1000 replacing parts such as the throttle body and the fuel pump and sending unit, egr, pcv, crankshaft sensor, plugs,injectors, intake seals, air intake temperature sensor and throttle body which include the throttle position sensor. Before we went for the cam sensor I decided to look up the issue and found so many...
I was braking when the brakes didn't stop the tires and it slid into a curve.
When vehicle has been filled up with gas it will intermittently die until it has around 50 miles on it. Usually sputters and dies without warning leaving you with no steering or brakes. Will restart but die until some fuel is ran out. I have scheduled to have the gas tank replaced but the fee is around $150

CAR ENGINE QUITS RUNNING AFTER STARTUP FOLLOWING REFUELING, AND SEVERAL TIMES THEREAFTER, REQUIRING THAT THE ENGINE BE RESTARTED EACH TIME. IT OCCURS AFTER EACH REFUELING. ALL OPERATIONAL CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE IS LOST WHEN THE ENGINE QUITS. I CONSIDER THIS TO BE A GREAT SAFETY HAZARD.
AFTER FUELING AT A GAS STATION AND ONLY FUELING UNTIL THE PUMP SHUTS OFF, THE ENGINE DIES ABOUT A BLOCK AWAY. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME THE VEHICLE GETS A FULL TANK OF GAS.
CAR KEPT STALLING WHILE DRIVING. ON TWO OCCASIONS IT WAS VERY DANGEROUS AS THE CAR STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF INTERSECTIONS. SPENT $1500 ON REPLACING/FIXING PARTS THAT NEVER SOLVED THE PROBLEM. FINALLY I RESEARCHED IT FOUND OUT IT COULD BE A FUEL TANK ISSUE.
WHEN THE GAS TANK IS FILLED, THE MOTOR CUTS OUT AND STALLS WHEN DRIVING, I HAVE TO KEEP THE TANK AT HALF WAY TO AVOID THIS. MY WIFE FILLED IT UP AND IT STALLED ON HER WHILE SHE WAS MAKING A LEFT HAND TURN IN TRAFFIC. MY CHILD WAS IN THE CAR AS WELL. IT APPEARS THAT THIS ORGANIZATION AS WELL AS CHRYSLER WAS AWARE OF THIS SITUATION. I NEVER RECEIVED ANY NOTIFICATION AND HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH IT FOR SOME TIME NOW. AFTER FILLING MY CAR WITH GAS IT RUNS ROUGH AND STALLS SEVERAL TIMES WHILE MOVING. AFTER RESTARTING IT SEVERAL TIMES IT SEEMS OK UNTIL THE NEXT TIME I FILL THE GAS AGAIN. WHEN IT STALLS IT SOUNDS LIKE THE DRIVETRAIN IS MESSING UP. IT DOES THIS CITY HIGHWAY TURNING OR STRAIGHT. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING REGULARLY FOR AT LEAST 6 WEEKS ONLY RIGHT AFTER FILLING AND SPORADICALLY FOR ABOUT 4 MONTHS OR MORE.
I HAVE A 2005 DODGE MAGNUM AND I WENT INTO THE CLEANERS TO DROP MY CLOTHES OFF. I WENT IN THE CLEANERS AND CAME OUT AND ATTEMPTED TO START MY CAR AND IT WOULDN'T START. I THOUGHT IT WAS THE FUEL PUMP. I HAD MY CAR TOWED TO THE SHOP AND THE MECHANIC STATED IT WAS MY ENGINE WAS OUT. I THINK ITS THE TIMING CHAIN. I SEEN RECALLS FOR MY ENGINE BUT THEY STATE ITS FOR THE NEWER VERSION OF THE HEMI BUT I THINK ITS ALL THE SAME RECALL. I GET MY CAR MAINTENANCE AT THE DODGE DEALERSHIP AND I HAVEN'T HAD ANY ENGINE PROBLEMS, NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS , LOSS AF POWER. THERE WERE LITERALLY NO SIGNS. I HAD GOT MY OIL CHANGED AT THE DEALERSHIP WITHIN A MONTH OF THE INCIDENT.
WHEN FILLING GAS TANK TO A FULL CONDITION THE ENGINE WILL DIE SUDDENLY WITHOUT WARNING. THE CAR/ENGINE WILL STALL UNEXPECTEDLY AFTER LEAVING GAS STATION OFTEN IN A PERILOUS POSITION. DOES NOT HAPPEN UNLESS CAR IS OVER 3/4 FULL OF FUEL. IF THE CAR IS FILLED UP IT CAN DIE ANYTIME AT ANY MOMENT.
AFTER FILLING UP WITH GAS, THE ENGINE WILL STALL AND SHUT OFF AT AN IDLE. THIS HAPPENS IMMEDIATELY AFTER FILLING UP THE GAS TANK. ONCE I MAKE IT HOME AFTER IT STALLS 2 TO 3 TIME AND IT SITS OVER NIGHT IT IS FINE THE NEXT DAY. THE ENGINE STALLS WHEN SITTING AT A RED LIGHT AT IDLE SPEEDS.

AFTER MY AIRBAG RECALL, THE CAR STOPPED RUNNING ABOVE 20MPH. RETURNED IT TO THE DEALERSHIP ONLY TO FIND THAT IT WAS THE POWER CONTROL MODULE, THAT WOULD COST $1500 TO FIX. SOMETHINGS NOT RIGHT HERE..

RECENTLY BOUGHT THIS CAR TOOK IT TO THE SHOP BECAUSE THE CAR WAS CUTTING OFF ON ITS OWN WHETHER PARKED OR IN DRIVE WHICH IS VERY DANGEROUS. HAD IT CHECKED OUT AND IT CAME UP WITH A CODE FOR CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR, GOT THAT CHANGED THE CODE WENT AWAY BUT THE CAR STILL TURNS OFF ON ITS OWN AND NO CODES SHOW UP. CRANKSHAFT HAS NOW BEEN CHANGED 2 TIMES&& THE ELECTRICAL THINGS WERE CHECKED JUST TO BE SAFE!&& A FEW DAYS AGO I WAS DRIVING MAYBE ABOUT 35MPH & THE CAR DECELERATED ON ITS OWN AND I COULDN'T ACCELERATE HAD TO TURN THE CAR OFF THEN BACK ON.
MAGNUM 5.7L HEMI WAS STARTED IN CARPORT AND SOUNDS LIKE A HAMMER BEATING INSIDE THE MOTOR. REMOVED HEAD ...... VALVE SEAT DROPPED DESTROYING THE HEAD, PISTON CYLINDER WALL,INTAKE MANIFOLD AND ALL ASSOCIATED MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL PARTS.

AT A STOP LIGHT, I WAS EXITING THE FREEWAY, I BEGAN TO ACCELERATE, AND THEN THE CAR JUST DIED. HOURS AND THOUSANDS LATER I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A DROPPED VALVE SEAT. CAUSED DAMAGE TO 3 PISTONS/RINGS, BOTH CYLINDER HEADS, INTAKE MANIFOLD, DAMAGED LIFTERS, AND CAMSHAFT.
VALVE SEATS DROPPED IN ENGINE CYLINDER CAUSING COMPLETE DESTRUCTION OF THE ENGINE, INTAKE AND EXHAUST MANIFOLDS. THIS WAS NOTICED ON STARTUP.

SENORS REPAIR, IN NEW A NEW ENGINE DUE TO ENGINE OVERHEATING, TRANSMISSION, ELECTRICAL FAILURE. I'M A SINGLE MOTHER OF 4 I CAN'T AFFORD TO LOSS MORE MONEY OR MY TRANSPORTATION. THANKS

A MONTH AGO I STOPPED AT THE LUBE SHOP TO HAVE THE FLUIDS AND AIR PRESSURE CHECKED ON MY CAR BEFORE I HEADED OUT OF TOWN. THE ONLY FLUID THAT WAS TOPPED OFF WAS MY WINDSHIELD WIPER FLUID. THEN YOU CAN OPERATE THE VEHICLE AGAIN UNTIL THE NEXT TIME IT DOES THIS, WHICH MAY BE ONE MINUTE OR A WEEK. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE MAGNUM. WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE ENGINE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE FAILURE RECURRED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PUMP FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000.
2005 DODGE RT MAGNUM: RIGHT AFTER FULL-UP THE CAR START JERKING LIKE IF IT WAS TRYING TO CUT OFF, BUT THEN SMOOTHED BACK TO NORMAL OPERATION AND THEN STARTED AGAIN JERKING LIKE IF THE CAR WAS TRYING TO CUT OFF AND TRYING TO STAY STARTED. AFTER ABOUT 10 MILES THE CAR RUNNING WITHOUT A PROBLEM AGAIN. *TR
JUST FILLED UP VEHICLE, WAS LEAVING PARKING LOT, AND THE CAR STALLED. I LOST ALL POWER STEERING AND BRAKES, IT WAS VERY SCARY. HARD TO RESTART, WAS AFRAID TO DRIVE IT AFTER THAT. STALLED A COUPLE TIMES SUBSEQUENTLY. *TR
AFTER FILLING UP WITH FUEL THE CAR HAS A TENDENCY TO STALL AT INTERSECTIONS OR STOP AND TURNS. ALSO WILL SURGE OR LOOSE POWER AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. USUALLY ONLY LAST FOR 0-15 MILES OR SO AND THEN GOES AWAY UNTIL NEXT FILL UP. I BELIEVE THIS FAULT IS DUE TO A FUEL TANK ISSUE, THAT WHEN FILLED CAUSES FUEL TO BE SHUT OFF TO ENGINE. POSSIBILITY FOR BEING REAR ENDED ARE VERY GREAT WITH THIS KIND OF PROBLEM. ESPECIALLY IN HIGH TRAFFIC AREAS.
THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE IN ROW WHILE FILLING UP THE VEHICLE WITH GASOLINE. ONCE THE FILL UP IS COMPLETE AND THE CAR IS DRIVEN AWAY, WITHOUT WARNING, THE CAR WILL STALL AND UPON RESTARTING WILL STALL AGAIN UNEXPECTEDLY AND WITHOUT WARNING. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN WHICH COULD LEAD TO INJURY OR DEATH WITH A VEHICLE THAT WILL STALL WITHOUT NOTICE AND IN TRAFFIC. *TR
WE HAVE HAD THIS STALLING ISSUE FOR YEARS. WE ARE THE ONLY OWNER OF OUR 2005 DODGE MAGNUM WITH A HEMI. WE KNOW THIS CAR. I FILLED UP AT GAS STATION A COUPLE MONTHS AGO & RIGHT AFTER FILL UP PULLED INTO THE FREEWAY AND THE CAR DIED..TOOK A FEW TRIES TO RESTART THEN RESTARTED, AND THIS OCCURS EVERY TIME YOU FILL THE GAS TANK. I HAVE REPORTED THIS BEFORE AND TALKED WITH DODGE BUT OUR VIN NUMBER IS NOT COVERED. WHY IS DODGE NOT MAKING GOOD ON THE INVESTIGATION DONE BY THE NHTSA. WE HAVE THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM AND REQUIRE THE SAME EXACT FIX AND THEY STILL REFUSE TO COVER THE FAULTY TANK DESIGN. IT WILL COST OVER 2K TO GET THIS FIXED. WHY ARE SOME CARS COVERED AND OTHER CARS ARE NOT COVERED? WHY DO WE HAVE TO WAIT YEARS FOR THIS TO GET RESOLVED? *TR
JUST AFTER FILLING UP AT THE GAS STATION I STARTED THE VEHICLE PUT IT IN DRIVE AND STARTED TO PROCEED MAKING IT ABOUT 10 FEET WHEN THE CAR STALLED CAUSING ME TO LOOSE MY POWER BRAKES AND STEERING. I PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE. AGAIN I PUT THE CAR IN DRIVE AND STARTED TO PROCEED ONTO THE ROAD WHEN MY VEHICLE STALLED AGAIN CAUSING ME TO LOSE MY POWER STEERING AND CROSS OVER THE YELLOW LINE INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC...., LUCKILY THE CAR APPROACHING ME SWERVED TO MISS MY VEHICLE WHICH WOULD HAVE HIT HIM HEAD ON. I THEN PROCEEDED TO THE EXPRESSWAY THINKING THAT MAYBE MY INJECTORS OR SOMETHING GOT CLOGGED DURING THE FILL UP SO I THOUGHT THAT MAYBE IF I WERE TO GET THE VEHICLE GOING FASTER MAKING MORE FUEL GO THRU THE FUEL SYSTEM AND INJECTORS THAT MAYBE WHATEVER IT WAS WOULD UNCLOG...
