My car was leaking gas from the fuel pump and I guess my car from the backseat almost caught fire cause I seen smoke coming from the back seat behind the driver. I went to two Dodge dealerships to let them know about this incident that reason why my fuel pump caught on fire because Dodge put the negative and the positive wire close to each other on the fuel pump, which could cause a fire or your car to explode. I let Dodge know about this incident and let them know that my car almost caught on fire smoke came out and I could’ve died. They totally brushed me off and brushed off my incident. THE CAR IS POORLY WINTERIZED, CAUSING MY ENTIRE FRAME TO RUST AND COMPLETELY FALL, THEREFORE LEAVING MY MOTOR SITTING ON TOP OF MY RATCH AND PINION AND ALMOST RESULTING IN MY DEATH. THIS CAR ISN'T OLD ENOUGH TO BE EXPERIENCING THESE PROBLEMS OR THE AMOUNT OF PARTS THAT RUST OUT OF IT.
I WAS PLANNING TO GO TO THE DEALERSHIP AND HAVE THE TWO AIRBAG RECALLS FIXED. BEFORE I HAD THE CHANCE TO DO THAT ,FEBRUARY 22 ,2020, MY VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A MINOR ACCIDENT THAT IS STILL UNDER DISPUTE ,THE DRIVER SIDE AND PASSENGER AIR BAGS BOTH DEPLOYED AND EXPLODED OPEN. THE VEHICLE WAS HIT ON THE LEFT DRIVERS SIDE ON THE FENDER AT LESS THAN 30 MILES AN HOUR THE ONLY AIRBAGS THAT DEPLOYED WERE THE ONES UNDER ACTIVE RECALL. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 DODGE CHARGER. THE CONTACT NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM THE DRIVER SIDE HEADLAMP. THE CONTACT OPENED THE HEADLAMP AND NOTICED FLAMES. THE CONTACT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FRONT BUMPER, BUMPER COVER, SUPPORT BRACKET, PASSENGER SIDE HEADLAMP ASSEMBLY, UPPER TIE BAR, PANEL, AND WIRING HARNESS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. IN ADDITION, THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE AREA BY THE HEADLAMP NEEDED TO BE PAINTED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 158,093.
ELETRICAL FAILURE 2010 - 2015, STEERING RESISTANCE 2013-2015, WIRES BURNING LEFT SIGNAL BACK LIGHT GONE. FRONT SIGNALS LEFT/RIGHT MALFUNCTION, TRUNK UNABLE TO OPEN WITH PROGRAM KEY 2012 -2015. WEPPLEASE SAVE MY FAMILY AND CONSUMERS OF US.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 DODGE CHARGER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE WHEELS CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO VIBRATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FRONT AXLE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. PURCHASED 2008 REAR WHEEL DRIVE V6 DODGE CHARGER 11/8/2008. 1ST TIME I HAD ISSUES W/ WORN OUT FRONT END SUSPENSION PARTS WAS IN 7/14/2010. I HAD TO HAVE THE OUTER TIE RODS REPLACED ON MY CAR WHICH ONLY HAD 26,036 MILES ON IT, LUCKILY, THIS WAS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. SINCE 7/2010, I HAVE HAD TO HAVE MULTIPLE VARIOUS FRONT END SUSPENSION AND STEERING COMPONENTS REPLACED, NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. *5/1/11 SWAY BAR LINKS & OUTER TIE RODS *3/2/12 OUTER TIE ROD END/CONTROL ARM AND BALL JOINT *11/1/12 OUTER TIE ROD *11/27/13 SWAY BAR LINKS *12/10/14 CONTROL ARM/STABILIZER BAR BUSHING. I'VE HAD TO HAVE MY TIRES REPLACED 3 TIMES DUE TO EXCESSIVE/UNEVEN WEAR CAUSED BY REOCCURRING, EXPENSIVE SUSPENSION ISSUES. I AM NOT A HOT ROD DRIVER, NOR DO I LIVE ON A LONG BUMPY DIRT ROAD AND FEEL MY COMPLAINT SHOULD BE LOOKED INTO FOR A POSSIBLE RECALL AND FORCE DODGE...

THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER'S SIDE TENSIONER STRUT WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT LATER, THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE TENSIONER STRUT EXPERIENCED THE SAME FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000. *TR
THE TIE ROD ENDS IN THIS CAR HAVE BEEN REPLACED TWICE AND NOW IM GOING IN FOR A THIRD TIME. MY MECHANIC EXPLAINED TO ME THAT THESE CARS ARE KNOWN FOR THEIR TIE ROD ENDS BREAKING. I FEEL IT SHOULD BE LOOKED INTO..I HAVE BEEN TO ONLINE FORUMS FOR THIS VEHICLE AND ITS MENTIONED A LOT ON THERE TOO. IF A PART IS DEFECTIVE THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD BE RECALLING THESE VEHICLES. *TR
OUTER TIE ROD ENDS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AT 76,000 MILES. ACCORDING TO THE MECHANIC, TIE ROD ENDS SHOULD LAST TO AT LEAST 150,000 MILES. UPON FURTHER RESEARCH, THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM FOR DODGE CHARGERS BEFORE 100,000 MILES. *TT
EVERYDAY WHILE DRIVING MY 2008 DODGE CHARGER AT ANY RATE OF SPEED, WITH MY FOOT ON THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND ATTEMPTING TO GO FASTER OR IF I AM KEEPING THE VEHICLE AT A STEADY SPEED, THE VEHICLE FEELS AS IF IT WANTS TO HESITATE OR STALL OUT. THE VEHICLE ALSO HAS A HARD SHIFT WHEN SHIFTING INTO DRIVE, REVERSE, NEUTRAL OR PARK AND IT FEELS AS IF THE ENGINE WILL DROP OUT OF THE BOTTOM OF THE VEHICLE ONTO THE GROUND. I BOUGHT A 2008 DODGE CHARGER DAYTONA FROM CHAPMAN DODGE IN LAS VEGAS, NV. THEY SOLD ME THE VEHICLE BRAND NEW WITH 22" TIRES. THE TIRE ARE HITTING THE FENDERS AND CUTTING INTO THE TIRES. I CONTACTED CHRYSLER CORPORATION AND THEY SAID IN AN EMAIL THAT CHRYSLER CORPORATION DOES NOT RECOMMEND THIS SIZE TIRE ON THIS CAR BECAUSE IT WOULD BE A SAFETY HAZARD. I HAD FIVE FAMILY MEMBERS IN THE VEHICLE A COUPLE WEEKS AGO AND NOTICED A NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE AND WHEN I STOPPED TO INVESTIGATE THE LIP OF THE FENDER WAS ALL BENT AND THERE WERE CUTS IN THE TIRE. IF I HAD BEEN ON THE HIGHWAY DRIVING THE SPEED LIMIT OF 70 MPH AND THIS HAPPENED, THE RESULTS COULD OF BEEN TRAGIC. *TR
