| 1,435,625 vehicles affected

Defect: Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2011-2014 Chrysler 200, 2010 Chrysler Sebring, 2010-2012 Dodge Caliber and 2010-2014 Jeep Patriot, Compass and Dodge Avenger vehicles. Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the OCR, free of charge. Interim letters informing owners that parts are not available yet were mailed on October 26, 2016. The recall began on August 15, 2017. Owners may contact Chrysler...

My vehicle has an open safety recall related to defective headrests. The dealership never contacted me to perform the recall repair, and the headrests were never replaced. Mopar issued an extended warranty for this defect, but the dealership is now refusing coverage claiming it expired. The defect is now occurring, creating a safety risk, and the recall remedy was never completed through no fault of my own.

the automobile will shut down when driving uncommanded, when it does this you lose power steering and braking and sometimes locks the steering wheel. the horn sounds uncommanded randomly. the windshield wipers will intermittently not work. have researched the problem and have found this issue is common, with this year and make of vehicle. i have contacted the manufacturer and they have been no help. they state they know there is an issue but they do not have parts to fix the issue. when it shuts down you do not get any lights or notice on the dashboard. this puts the driver and passengers at risk and other drivers. the manufacturer stated on the phone its basically my problem and since they do not have parts to repair it i'm on my own, on finding the part, most likely refurbished
