2024 CHEVROLET TRAX Seat Belts Problems

I was in a auto accident where I was hit at a high speed on my passenger front side resulting in my airbags to deploy along with my seatbelt failing to hold me in the seat where the seatbelt became fully extended and unlatched and won’t retract back into place resulting in me having a perforated small intestine and colon damage. I had to have trauma surgery to repair my small intestine where I had 22 staples in my stomach and a hospital stay of 5 days as a result. Vehicle has not been inspected by an inspector, but was inspected by adjuster with auto insurance which stated they felt the seatbelt failed. A lawyer wouldn’t take the case to look further into the vehicle. The vehicle was on hold with the insurance agency but will be released for auction shortly. I purchased this car on Feb 23, 2024 brand new - I have had trouble on numerous occasions trying to unbuckle my seat belt - the seat belt is too far down between the seat and the middle console making it difficult to manuever - if there were ever an emergency where I had to get out of the car fast - this would be extremely unsafe and problematic
