The contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while her daughter was driving at slow speeds into a parking area, the passenger's side of the vehicle collapsed, rendering the vehicle inoperable. The contact stated that shortly afterwards, Roadside Assistance arrived to tow the vehicle and observed that the frame had split down the center. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 240,000. The VIN was not available.

To Whom It May Concern, I have a 2010 Tahoe LTZ which has a cracked dashboard. I have called around to get this fixed and this is very expensive at the dealership for over $1500. I had checked around and found out that this is a common issue with certain types of GM vehicles and mine is on the list. I will like for this to be replaced by GM because because this is truly a safety issue because the cracks are on the driver side near the airbags.
