My car keeps telling me my trunk is open then it dings constantly going back and forth from tire monitor system to the trunk open. Then Everytime I turn the car off I have to wiggle the battery cable to get my car to start and my power steering keeps going out. I'm aware there are recalls.for my car but beings my check engine light is on they r refusing to fix my car. I don't understand. I thought recalls were mandatory and had to be fixed. This car barely has 85,000 miles on it. I shouldn't be having all these issues. It's all electrical it seems like. I need help.
Everything that has to do with the air in cabin and air intake for engine fails. Have issues all the time with it , told I need to fix one part then that fails again. Can’t use the AC in this car more than half the time if not an issue arises. Now I can’t get my inspection because again the same codes: P0097, P0171,P11c3, P 2199 At first I had only an issue with the MAF new one was placed and now all these errors popped up. The electrical also gave me issues before the lights are not as bright anymore in the car not the headlights. Too afraid to change them because I need the vehicle for my medical appointments and to pick up kids from school
The car's theft deterrent is not able to be turned off and is causing the car to stop working. I was driving my car on the highway and all of a sudden it completely shut off. I had it towed home. I replaced the battery and it worked for a short period of time but then shut off again. My mechanic states that the theft deterrent is getting triggered. We replaced the battery, fob battery, and checked everything it could possibly be with no luck. The car is too dangerous to drive and has caused missed work and loss of income.

The car began to shake uncontrollably on the freeway at 55/MPH . The car then marked "Engine Power is Reduced", causing the car to no longer accelerate more than 5-7/MPH. This is a very dangerous situation because it can cause a terrible accident on the road since it's a random inconvenience. I have heard that many of these types of cars "Chevy Cruze" seem to experience the same type of problem. With that being said it's safe to say that as an owner this situation is far out of my control and it's definitely a collective problem with the type of car and make that it is. I ask for this to be immediately looked into.
When the ac on the brake pad will lock and there no brakes you can't push it down it gets hard but when you turn the ac turns off the brake pad goes back to normal but it's damage to be driving and this happen .. Also the trac control light comes on along with the sailablzie light
Loses power replace the maf sensor new air filter replaced both thermostat sensors, the thing that regulates the gas and 3 oil changes only had the car 2 months. Now a differnt code is showing about a mis fire.. i dnt think any of the recalls were completed on my car
The temperature gauge never shows the hand even get to half on the hot cold fail however the car could have no coolant and be 400 degrees the sail will Or reflect so. This has caused many probable s bc I can’t tell when it over hears it’s mezwwzs the comupeter
Steering fades , blinkers go out, stability trac goes in and out. Radio goes on and off. Radio sometimes stays on after car is shut off.
It keeps running pot. And it also needs any houses now and I have done replaced the thermostat and the thermostat housing I'm going to voicemail
The problem I have is a very, very common problem and a huge safety issue to my life or anyone with the same car within around 2011 to 2015. The cheap plastic levers for the mode actuator for my defrost and vents do not work. They have broken and this I barely have any heat coming out of the front vents and absolutely none coming from the defrost. This is a huge issue and highly affects my driving in the cold and snowy, or even rainy, weather. I’m so upset there has not been a recall thus far. No one wants to spend 1000 dollars for a five dollar part when it’s not their fault that the levers are faulty! This is Chevrolets and thus, GMCs problem. Service Bulletin Number: 14311B, Date: June 2015, Service Bulletin: SB-10057574-8899 CONDITION On certain 2011–2015 model year Chevrolet Cruze vehicles, the negative battery cable terminal clamp may have an insufficient crimp at the battery negative terminal. Over time, the internal resistance increases and vehicle electrical systems do not receive adequate power. With this condition, the following effects are possible: the Radio/HVAC Display may turn off and on; the Antilock Brake System, Service Traction System, Service Stabilitrac and Steering vehicle messages may come on and off; the turn signal sound may not be heard; “Battery Saver Active” and “Service Steering” may display in the Driver Information Center (DIC); and the interior and exterior lighting may flicker. WHILE DRIVING AT SPEED THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT WOULD COME ON ENGINE WOULD START TO JERK AND THEN LOST POWER
I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE AT ANAHEIM AUTO HUB LAST JUNE 6, 2020 FOR MY DAUGHTER. COUPLE MONTHS LATER IT STARTED LEAKING AND SMELLS LIKE BURNING OIL. AND THE STABILI TRACK SENSOR AND THE TRACTION CONTROL SENSORS CAME ON. AND, AS WELL AS THE KEY GOT STUCK INSIDE THE IGNITION COUPLE OF TIMES. SO I TOOK IT THE MECHANIC TO GET THE LEAKS FIX. THE MECHANIC FOUND THAT THE VALVE COVER GASKET LEAK AND VALVE TIMING SOLENOID. SO THE MECHANIC REPLACED THE VALVE GASKET COVER AND THE VALVE TIMING SOLENOID LEAK, AND RIGHT AFTER THAT BEING SAID, ONE WEEK LATER WE FOUND LEAKING SO, I TOOK IT BACK TO MECHANIC AGAIN, NOW THEY FOUND 3 DIFFERENT LEAK, FROM THE OIL COOLER LEAK, ENGINE OIL PAN GASKET AND LEAKING ON ENGINE TIMING COVER GASKET. AND I FOUND 7 RECALLS ON THIS VEHICLE THAT HAS NEVER FIX. AND I AM THE NEW OWNER...
SHORTLY AFTER PURCHASING CAR, THE CAR STARTED AND LIGHTS STARTED FLASHING BY ITSELF MORE THAN 10 MINUTES AFTER EXITING THE CAR. THEN HEAT STOPPED WORKING IN 0 DEGREE WEATHER. OIL IS RUNNING FROM A CAST NUT THAT HOLDS AN ALTERNATOR BRACKET TO THE ENGINE BLOCK AND WITH THE CAR GOING DOWN THE ROAD AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS THERE' A STRONG POSSIBILITY THAT OIL COMING FROM THIS CAST NUT THAT CANT HOLD THE BRACKET STABLE IS LETTING THE PRESSURE OF THE OIL TO RUN OUT AND POSSIBLY COME IN CONTACT WITH THE INTERNAL WORKINGS OF THE ALTERNATOR AND SHORT IT OUT WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF A FIRE STARTING AND CAUSING OTHER PROBLEMS UNDER THE HOOD PLUS THE CHANCE OF DESTROYING THE ENGINE IF THE LEAK OF THE OIL PRESSURE PUSHES THAT END OF THE BRACKET OUT OF THE ENGINE BLOCK AND THE OIL WILL COME OUT LIKE WATER COMING OUT OF A WATER HOSE. MY CAR HAS STARTED TO GET HARD TO BRAKE. EVEN GOING FORWARD OR REVERSE SLOWLY THE CAR DOES NOT WANT TO BRAKE. I TRY TO BRAKE AND THE CAR STILL SLIDES FORWARD OR REVERSE. I HAVE A 2012 CHEVY CRUZE 1.4 TURBO ENGINE THE ISSUE IS OVER HEATING .. THIS ISSUE IS REOCCURRING.. WHILE DRIVING MY 2012 CHEVY CRUZE, MY RADIO WILL SHUT OFF RANDOMLY FOR ABOUT 10 SECONDS, AND WHEN IT DOES, I LOSE COMPLETE CONTROL OF THE STEERING. IT IS LIKE THE CAR SHUTS OFF BUT WHEN THE RADIO TURNS BACK ON, THEN THE CAR WILL RESTORE POWER. VERY DANGEROUS AND SCARY!!! AND YET, THERE IS STILL NO RECALL FOR MY SPECIFIC VIN. OF MY DRIVE WITHOUT IT RETURNING TO NORMAL(LIGHTS OFF DISPLAY REMAINED OFF). I DIDN'T HAVE ANY MORE ISSUES UNTIL TODAY. THIS AFTERNOON I DROVE TO A FAMILY GET TOGETHER AND WHILE STILL IN THE CITY MY INSTRUMENT CLUSTER PLUS MY RADIO DISPLAY STARTED TO RANDOMLY SHUT OFF THEN COME BACK ON AFTER A SECOND OR TWO SOMETIMES CONTINUOUSLY FOR 10-20 SECONDS AND ONCE FOR AROUND 30 SECONDS. EACH TIME THEY WENT OFF THE SPEAKERS WOULD SHUT OFF TOO AND I'M NOT SURE IF THE TURN SIGNALS WORKED DUE TO THE LACK OF A DISPLAY AND AUDIO. ONE INSTANCE I ALSO ENCOUNTERED EITHER REDUCED POWER STEERING OR COMPLETE LOSS OF IT FOR SEVERAL SECONDS WHILE LOSING...
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2012 CHEVROLET CRUZE. WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, THE CONTACT WAS ALERTED BY ANOTHER MOTORIST THAT THERE WERE FLAMES UNDERNEATH HER VEHICLE. SHORTLY AFTER, THE CONTACT NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM THE VENTS AND THE SPEED WAS DECELERATING. THE VEHICLE WAS PULLED OFF THE ROAD AND THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 133,000.
MY VEHICLE WILL SAY THE DRIVERS DOOR IS OPEN WHEN IT IS NOT, IT WILL SHUT OFF AND ON. THE ALARM SYSTEM GOES OFF WHEN EVER IT FEELS LIKE IT EVEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. THERE IS NOTHING TO DO WHEN IT DOES THIS YOU JUST HAVE TO LET IT GO OFF UNTIL IT STOPS. THE SPEED GAUGE CHANGES FROM WHAT THE NON DIGITAL ONE SAYS. AND THE ENGINE LIGHT SHUTS OFF AND ON WHEN YOU HIT A BUMP.

YES, FELL OFF. THE DEALERSHIP WHERE WE PURCHASED THE CAR HESITANTLY REPLACED IT AS THE CLIPS WERE BROKE OFF. DEC 2012 TRUNK BUTTON DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY - HAS BEEN REPLACED MULTIPLE TIMES (BY KOCOUREK). AND NOT IT HAS RECENTLY ONCE IT OPENS, IT WILL NOT CLOSE DESPITE BEING SLAMMED SHUT 8 TO 10 TIMES. OCT 2012 HAD AN ANTIFREEZE LEAK FROM DAY ONE - DEALERSHIP TELLS US THEY CAN'T FIND ANYTHING EVEN WHEN POINTED OUT. I GO THOUGH A GALLON OF DEXOS ANTIFREEZE EVERY 2 WEEKS. TRUNK RELEASE DOES NOT WORK. THE TRUNK OPENS ONLY AFTER ACTUATING THE BUTTON ON THE FOB
AC AUTO SHUTOFF TEMP TO HIGH MESSAGE COMES ON L. I HAVE REPLACED THE THERMOSTAT ALREADY THREE TIMES. THEN THE CAR WON'T START. DISCONNECT THE GROUND AND PUT IT BACK ON AND IT STARTS JUST FINE. YOU CAN DRIVE IT FOR A WHILE THEN AC OFF COMES BACK IN AND START THE PROCESS AGAIN.

THE SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT FLASHED THEN THE SERVICE STABILITRAK LIGHT FLASHED THE LIGHTS WENT AWAY AND THE VEHICLE DROVE FINE. SEVERAL DAYS LATER THE SAME THING HAPPENED UPON ENTERING MY DRIVEWAY IT STARTED TO SPUTTER. FOUR DAYS AFTER THAT UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE THE SAME LIGHTS CAME ON IN ADDITION TO THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. NOW WHEN I START MY VEHICLE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ON AND AFTER THE VEHICLE IS WARMED UP THE OTHER TWO LIGHTS COME ON AND THEN GO OFF. MY LATEST ONSTAR DIAGNOSTIC REPORTS A PROBLEM WITH THE ECM. I HAS BEEN ALMOST EXACTLY THREE YEARS TO THE DATE THAT THESE SAME THINGS HAPPENED AND WERE SUPPOSEDLY REPAIRED UNDER RECALL # 14801 AND SPECIAL COVERAGE # 14311B. PLEASE ADVISE.
THIS VEHICLE (CHEVY CRUZE 2012) IS THE WORST VEHICLE MADE POSSIBLE. THERE IS OIL LEAKS THAT HAVE BEEN FIXED THAT OCCUR AGAIN . THERE IS A COOLANT LEAK THAT WAS FIXED BY THE RADIATOR CONNECTOR. 15 MINUTES LATER OF DRIVING THE VEHICLE 2 MORE HOSES POPPED AND CAUSED THE COOLANT TO LEAK AGAIN. THE RADIATOR WENT BAD AND WAS CHANGED THE VEHICLE STILL OVER HEATED . THE THERMOSTAT WAS CHANGED AND THE VEHICLE WAS FINE FOR 2 DAYS. I GO TO START THE VEHICLE AND IT DOESN'T WANT TO TURN OVER . COME TO FIND OUT AT THE SAME MECHANIC THAT I HAD THE THERMOSTAT CHANGED APPARENTLY SAID THE HEAD GASKET WAS BLOWN . THEN SAYS THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE CYLINDER HEADS . SO ALL IN ALL . THIS VEHICLE HAS HAD OIL LEAKS , COOLANT LEAKS , ENGINE LIGHTS , RADIATOR ISSUES , CYLINDERR HEAD PROBLEMS , MISFIRING...
VEHICLE ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. VEHICLE IS SPILLING OIL CAUSING SMOKE TO BE EXHAUSTED OUT OF ENGINE WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE. ENGINE HAS HAD COOLANT LEAKS AND ENGINE HEAD GASKET IS BLOWN
WHILE DRIVING IN THE CITY AT NIGHT, THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY SHUT OFF, INCLUDING THE ENGINE AND ALL ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS WITHOUT ANY WARNINGS. THIS CAUSED ALL LIGHTS TO TURN OFF, LOSS OF POWER STEERING, POWER TO BRAKES, AND LITTLE TO CONTROL TO THE VEHICLE. LUCKILY, THE VEHICLE BEHIND ME NOTICED AND TAILED ME TO A STOP WITH THEIR WARNING LIGHTS. AFTER ABOUT 5 MINUTES ATTEMPTING TO FIND A TOW TRUCK COMPANY THE VEHICLE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CAME BACK ON WITH NO INTERVENTION. I TURNED THE IGNITION SWITCH AND THE VEHICLE STARTED WITH NO ISSUES AND NO ENGINE LIGHTS ON. I DROVE IT THE REST OF THE WAY HOME WITH NO ISSUES. WHEN I GOT HOME I CHECKED ALL THE FUSES...
ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM EXPLODED WHILE CAR IN MOTION COOLANT WAS EVERYWHERE UNDERNEATH THE HOOD. BELT BROKEN.AND HAS OIL LEAKING.WITH AN 800 HUNDRED DOLLARS BILL WHILE ON VACATION.
BELT TENSIONER BOLT CAME OUT AND IS NOW STUCK IN A SPRING IN THE ENGINE..THE LIGHT ON MY RADIO FADES IN AND OUT.. ROTOR ON DRIVERS SIDE HAD DEFORMITY TO IT .STILL HAVE THE ROTOR AND THE SPRING IS STILL STUCK IN ENGINE I CAN'T AFFORD TO GET IT FIXED
INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM NOT WORKING. THE STEREO SYSTEM DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY. IT WILL TURN ON OR OFF ON WITHOUT INPUT FROM A HUMAN. NOT HAVING A STEREO IS NOT A PROBLEM, BUT THE TURN SIGNALS AND HAZARD LIGHT CLICKING ARE NOT PRESENT WHEN THE RADIO IS NOT OPERATING. NOT HAVING AUDIO OF THE TURN SIGNALS REQUIRES THE DRIVER TO TAKE THEIR EYES OFF THE ROAD TO OBSERVE WHETHER EITHER TURN SIGNAL ARE OPERATING. THIS DRIVER HAS RIDDEN AROUND WITH A TURN SIGNAL FOR SOME LENGTHS OF TIME, POSSIBLY CONFUSING OTHER DRIVERS. THE RADIO AND VEHICLE DINGS AND CLICKS SHOULD BE INDEPENDENT FOR SAFETY ALERTS.

WITHOUT ANY PREVIOUS PROBLEMS BEFORE THIS DAY.. MY TRANSMISSION WENT OUT WITH ONLY 80,000 MILES ON JUNE 7, 2018. BEING ON A BUSY 2 LANE, CURVY HIGHWAY, MY CAR JUST COMPLETELY WENT OUT OF GEAR AND THANKFULLY I WAS ABLE CRUISE OFF TO THE SIDE. A FEW MINUTES LATER AN ALERT THAN CAME UP ON MY DASH AND SAID "TRANSMISSION HOT, IDLE ENGINE". I HAD BOUGHT THIS CAR IN 2014 WITH ONLY ONE PREVIOUS OWNER THAT TOOK REALLY GOOD CARE OF IT. IT IS RIDICULOUS FOR MY TRANSMISSION TO GO OUT WITH SUCH LOW MILEAGE AND TO HAVE TO PAY $5,000 FOR A NEW ONE AND PLUS THE CAR PAYMENTS I STILL HAVE ON IT. IT HAS BEEN A KNOWN ISSUE ALL OVER THE INTERNET THAT THE 2012 CRUISE HAS HAD A PROBLEM WITH ITS ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. ALONG WITH MYSELF MANY OTHERS HAVE NOTED THAT WHILE DRIVING THE CARS ELECTRICAL SYSTEM GOES OUT DISABLING THE POWER STEERING, RADIO, GAS, ANYTHING TIED IN WITH THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. THIS HAS CAUSED MANY ACCIDENTS AND HAS NEARLY CAUSED MY SIGNIFICANT OTHER AND MYSELF ON 3 SEPARATE OCCASIONS TO NEARLY RUN INTO A POLE OR DITCH. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD NOT ONLY TO THE DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE BUT TO OTHER VEHICLES OR PEDESTRIANS.

WHILE DRIVING THE RADIO AND OTHER INTERIOR LIGHTS STARTED FLASHING ON AND OFF. NOW ALONG WITH THAT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON, THE SERVICE STABILTRAC IS ON AND IT WILL LOOSE STEERING ASSIST AT TIMES. TODAY IT STARTED DYING WHEN TAKING OFF AND AT INTERSECTIONS.I HAVE SPOKEN TO A FEW DIFFRENT TECHS AND A COUPLE DIFFRENT SHOPS ON THIS MATTER AND NOBODY HAS ANY ANSWERS AS TO WHAT IT IS THEY ALL HAVE SAID THAT THEY HAVE SEVERAL DOING THE SAME THING AND CAN NOT FIGURE THEM OUT.

THERE ALSO SEEMS TO BE A SKIPPING OR JUMPING INVOLVING THE FUEL INJECTION WHEN ACCELERATING, WHICH MAKES SPEED REGULATION IRREGULAR, SPORADIC, AND DOES NOT ALLOW THE DRIVER TO MAKE ACCURATE JUDGEMENTS ON THE CARS CAPABILITIES CONCERNING TIMING AND DISTANCE TO OTHER DRIVERS. RECENTLY, I WAS IN MOTION DRIVING THROUGH CHATANOOGA, TN, WHERE IT IS MOUNTAINOUS AND HAS STEEP HILLS, DURING NIGHTTIME, SO VISIBILITY WAS LESSENED, AND DANGER, DUE TO THE TYPE OF ROAD IT WAS, WAS INCREASED.
