2022 CHEVROLET BLAZER Power Train Problems

Transmission completely failed while driving at highway speeds.

Automatic transmission and radiator. Vehicle shifted hard and then would not go to a higher gear after pulling out into an intersection. Vehicle was pulled over to side of road and shut off. Restarted and tried to merge back onto main road and while trying to accelerate, the rpm’s went over 3500 quickly and wouldn’t shift once the vehicle hit 30mph. The engine light came on. There has been no previous engine lights or issues. Scheduled an appointment at a Chevrolet dealership and had the vehicle towed on a flatbed trailer to be looked at. I stated that there was a major problem/issue with the transmission and explained the problem. Temp sensor quit working. I have seen online there are tons of people having this exact problem but no recalls issued

2023: 16K miles, the Chevrolet Blazer in questions transmission went out; thus requiring it to be brought into the dealership for repair; It was "repaired" and given back to us. A few days after said repair, I was driving it with my son in the vehicle, and the transmission went out while on the highway. I was almost hit from behind as I limped it to the side of the road. A brand new transmission was put in. During this time, there was also issues with the brakes where they were making noises. 2025: Blazer check engine light came on. On the way to get it diagnosed, it began to overheat; we were limping it to the side of the road when it stated "engine overheating, vehicle turning off". The engine fan has been running and the check engine light has come on and upon further inspection I discovered that this is a common issue with this vehicle. I have had my vehicle inspected and serviced by Chevrolet since I purchased it and I informed the technician that there was water under my vehicle if it ran idle on several occasions and was told that it was a non issue and now that my vehicle is out of warranty there is an issue with the same thing I have been concerned about.

My transmission started slipping really badly. Had never happened before, and then suddenly wouldn’t shift above 3rd gear. My reverse gear stopped working. I had to have my valve body replaced which fixed the drive gears but the reverse still didn’t work. After months without my car, my dealership had to replace the transmission.
